nice work bro.this is educative!!

That Komodo dragon,is it capable of killing an adult human? Also, those wild dogs, can they be mixed with our domestic Alsatian dogs at home(like making a wild dog and a domestic dog have sex)to produce more aggressive and powerful puppies for dog-lovers?

I think it's possible since they are all of the same family, I think I've read of crossbreeding with wolf sometimes past, but it's not an nice venture to embark on.

Lol! Making them have sex? Well, anything is possible sha. But those wild dogs, hmm! They'll have sex with the dog and killed it for food, double gain!
The wild dogs are assassins, they have a killer instinct. They do even eat their prey without killing it, that is they eat it while it's alive. I don't think it's advisable to crossbreed domestic dogs with these ones oo.

Some animals are able to break down the poison from frogs. The world's only poisonous bird also gets its poison from eating poisonous frogs

They will kill the domestic dog by feeding on it alive.

As for KD, I'm not sure if their venoms can kill a full grown human but I sure do know that its spittle has enough bacteria to infect and kill a prey.

Dickeyrider:

Can they chase a cheetah to exhaustion? Speed get class abeg
LOL!!! You don't know wild dogs then. Then get patience DIE!!! They are this patient to keep following a prey and wait till it's tired, then gradually, they bite and tear off the flesh bit by bit, from any part of the body, even if the prey keeps defending. They hunt in packs and each one gets a bite of you, that is, before a larger predator chases them all away.

On a serious note, I have plans to visit Kenya with my future wife by 2025. I love nature like mad. I will visit the massai Mara, and see the animals in their natural environment.
We take life too serious in Africa. I can't come and go and kill myself oo. Vacations is my number one priority. Less I forget, I'll branch at the great Victoria Waterfalls in Zambia. My future wife will enjoy vacations oo.
Oya! "To INFITY AND BEYOUND"
Kenya is an interesting and cold country, well, Nairobi is cold while I heard Mombasa's weather is like that of Lagos.

If you see constant light, you fit to no go anywhere sef.

Didn't visit many of these places because I was on a limited budget.

Anyway, my plans is to get a powerful DSLR and take a trip to The Serengeti during migration. It would be fun to watch and capture those moments.

Classic Poco! the female of the species is deadlier than the male.

I would tend to agree with you about lions being generally overhyped. Personally, I prefer to rank each wild animal's strength/how dangerous based on how they would fare INDIVIDUALLY when faced with challenges/opposition and not what they achieve collectively. My individual ranking would go like this:

Elephant>Rhino>Hippo> Bengal Tiger>African buffalo>Jaguar>Lion=Polar/Grizzly bear>crocodile>Leopard/panther>Cougar>Hyena>Wolf>Cheetah>Ocelot>Wild dog>jackals/fox and the rest

Collectively, the winner would be wild dogs/dingos, then hyenas, lions, buffalos and wolves

True, lion might be overhyped but still doesn't change the fact that it tops the list on the food chain in the wilderness. Lion is the only animal that has no predator. No animal(not even dingos and hyenas) HUNTS Lions for food but Lion can decide to put down any animal on the menu list regardless of the size. From elephants to Giraffe, hippos etc down to the cats family. That's the reason why they sleep carelessly in open with no worry of a predator.
However, they might be found wanting in areas of speed, size, agility, endurance etc. In addition, they could get killed in solitary when they are carelessly, even by a single spine of a pocupine, heard of Buffalo, a single back kick of a giraffe, one nasty bite of a hippo, shred apart by the Savage hyenas and wild dogs, crushed by a ferrocious bite of a croc in the water hole.etc

Guy, never put wolves at the bottom of the list. They are the deadliest when it comes to pack movement. They are the uncles of wild dogs, they are bigger, faster and damn ferrocious.
If they were to exist in Africa, wild dogs and hyenas will be their junior.
Just because u can't find them in Africa doesn't make them less deadly. Their stare alone will make u wet ur pants. grin

I get your point but trust me,dem no born those wild dogs well to try that shyyyyt with the male lion.
Even a pack of hyena won't dare

A pack of hyena will confront any solitary lion, nothing special, except in rare cases. There was a documentary on a particular lion that specializes on hunting hyenas for food.

True. Male Lions just fight of other male lion to be in charge.

Not completely true, male Lions hunts when the need arises. Especially, when the pride is hungry and haven't fed in a while or when the prey is huge like the Buffalo, Giraffe, hippos etc

Hehehe I feel so too but they are magnificent in sight. Saw one at a zoo and was wowed. Especially fully grown male with the mane is a lovely sight. King of the jungle but indeed they rarely do so much in terms of activities in the wild. They just positional creatures cheesy

Actually the king of Savannah. Lions dont live in the jungle, they lied to us. Tiger is the actual kind of the Jungle cos it's their natural habitat and are not found in Africa (fun fact).
Back to the matter, Mr lion is a lazy man cos 70% -80% of his daily activity na lazing around sleeping and minding his own business. But when it comes to food chain, it sits right at the top cos it has no predator (no animal hunts lion)except man.

I saw your ranking and I didn’t wanna upset the general order. As long as it doesn’t favour the King of the Jungle, I am fine. grin

The king of the JUNGLE is one lie they sold to us.
Lions do not live in the jungle but the Savannah, where u have shrubs and short grasses. The true king of the Jungle is the Tiger cos that's it's natural habitat. grin

the claims that lions don't do much is false information. A lion is a fighter. Born to fight. He gets chased out just before he becomes an adult, sometimes wanders into the dangerous wild alone. Do you know how dangerous it is to hunt solo in the wild? Lions are pack hunters, the females hunt in a group in order to successfully win their hunts. How much more an adolescent lion hunting solo? He takes lots of horn digging from bulls, oxens, get several kicks, make very little successful hunts due to his solo hunting, gets attacked by several packs of hyenas who intend to kill him and eat him(no joke about this hyenas hunt and eat lions), he fights the herd till his last breathe, if he survives it makes him even tougher and stronger with sore wounds that tell stories. These go on unabated for years no less than 5years, when his mane is fully mature he searches for a pride to take over and when he sights one, it is a battle to death with the dominant male lion of the pack. Sometimes he loses and scurries away with large bleeding wounds, which he'll have to use and hunt, and defend, in order to survive. In the end he'll have to find another pride to take over and procreate. If he ever successfully does, it does not end there, he fights other hyenas for the female lions because hyenas come to steal their cubs and eat. One male lion can take on 5 adult hyenas and kill them all. See dude the life of a male lion is a tragedy. It hurts me when this new campaign to dethrone them and overlook them as lazy sleepers who don't do much, goes around the internet. How else does a warrior prepare for battle if not to rest enough and heal from previous fights, how well will he fight other hyenas, join hands to bring down heavy size bulls, kill off leopards and cheetas that kill their cubs, if he does not sleep and rest well ahead of the fight ahead. Man, a lion is a gladiator.

Point of corrections boss. It doesn't get chased out before adult. They usually live with the pride till they could fend for themselves and when the time is right, they challenge the leader of the pride. A fully grown lion can never survive alone cos they lack speed, endurance and the ability to take down preys on their own. Even if they successfully take down a prey, the scavengers or territory owners will snatch it. Secondly, they can't hunt in another prides territory else they get attacked, they will only have to depend on left overs. Thirdly, if Lions don't feed well, they become very vulnerable and can be killed by those tout and thogue of hyenas or dingos. Lastly, a solitary lion is as good as dead once they are outcasted.

i love watching hyenas any day any time. in my opinion, they are uncannily the most controversial predators. their troublesome lifestyle intrigues me. i perceive they will be the last predators to go extinct owing that they are scavengers as well

i remember watching a video where they barged into a buffalo that got stuck in a mud. these hyenas were eating from the buffalo and collecting pounds of flesh while the cull was still alive... dem no send and are not ready to wait for you to die as lions would
