Honourable Members, please I need an advice on how much to take up a weekly rental car a Nigerian Used Honda Civic 2007 to use on ehailing platform. Please I need sincere advice and views from Partners and Drivers. Urgently.
Thanks so much.

Sincerely bro, I saw your mention since morning, but I've been finding it difficult to advise you

You need to consider some factors. I think they are more important than just asking outrightly what you should pay

Is the car in good condition?
Who's responsible for servicing?
What's the ratio for maintenance sharing?

These few questions and more should guide you on what to pay

I hope you have an experience on this job. If no, please take that into consideration

So sorry for the late reply

Thanks so much Boss,
I was told to take minor maintenance which is understandable, and major maintenance will be shared. The car engine and transmission usage are on average.

My windows were wind up, I was alone too. I think they were on a mission, because they were just in front of Pedro station. Arresting everyone( driver and pedestrian)

The car's engine and transmission is average

Major maintenance will be shared

My advice:
A good name is better than riches. Don't take the car. If a major issue comes up in your First week, and you can't fund your part, you'll be known as the bad driver that damaged their car

It's just an advice oh..... There could be better options smiley

Every time I try to apply the brakes it works then the pedal pushes back on my foot with a grinding noise. BlackBishop please what can be the problem?

I notice my ABS light comes on these days. But the above only happens whe the light goes off.

Hello guys, good morning. Please I need advice, I asked my brother to help me with a car to use as Uber business, the car will serve as a loan to be repaid within a stipulated time. My challenge is that instead of the regular 2004 - 2006 Toyota Corolla, he bought the 2010 for me. Please is this car too fragile for the Uber business, what are the pros and cons of using this car? Thank you all

From my humble experince.. 2009 Corolla is too sophisticated for uber.. 2005 would have been better and your 09 Corolla is just too clean for uber.. I would sell it and get an 05 or 07 ..

But if you decide to use the 09 for uber. Make sure you use the correct oil 5w20 full synethtic.. Those engine do not come cheap at all .. Its a good car for the right owner and a bad car for the wrong owner.. This is one of the cleanest 09 have seen in a long time .. Take good care of it if you decide to use it for uber

Buying of driver account not necessary. Bolt are now onboarding new drivers. I was activated yesterday 25th.

1) Sign up here with driving licence and passport photo https://support.taxify.eu/hc/en-us/articles/360002711693-Becoming-a-Driver-in-Nigeria
2) Go for vehicle inspection. Cost is 2k
3) Do verification here https://bolt.youverify.co/#/ Cost is 1k

Then mail vehicle inspection report to
abuja-signup@bolt.eu and abuja@bolt.eu explaining all you have done so far.

They will confirm and send you quiz link. Pass the quiz and await activation within 24 hours.

Uber on the other hand are still not onboarding new drivers. But get everything done also, so once they resume you will be early enough in activation queue.
Finally came “positively full circle” today with my driver accounts.

Timeline below:

-24th May: Commenced online driver-partner registration on both Uber and Bolt. Vehicle inspection for both done a week later.
-24th June: Bolt activated my account
-17th July: Uber activated my account

As both offices are closed, had to follow up via email and Twitter for Bolt. And via Twitter and the Driver app (booking an in-person appointment; sending messages to support) for Uber.

Covid19 has been brutal. But i thank God for fortunate decisions I made earlier, and for the Ride-sharing industry.

The barriers are not erected!

Boss from your narration I can actually deduce an uneven brake pads or uneven brake disc, before jumping into any other conclusion your ABS needs thorough diagnosis. Sir ask your Technician to check the brake disc and pad first and we can take it from there.

I've not heard of any problem with this year model except their parts and engine might be costlier than the 03-06 type. Your bro getting u 03-06 would have seen you settling the payments sooner than this year model, since it is coming as a loan. This car goes well over 2m in the market, with HP offer, it's not gonna be less than 3m.

I love 09 upward Corolla but I cant get it for uber due to the price and the discouraging low fares on this biz except I get it as a naija used at a good state and quite low price

Enjoy your ride, it is cute.

Fuel consumption is always exaggerated. If there is no problem with a car, any 4-plug car fuel consumption cant be overbearing. I've seen people using honda accord 05 with a bigger engine for this hustle. Why will 10 Corolla fuel consumption be worse than big daddy or camry muscle with bigger engine, which some people still use for this biz
