Man Loses N200,000 Job For Calling The Employer ‘uncle’ by JomoGbomo1Akpos(op): 10:28am On Jul 17, 2020
A Nigerian man has lost an attractive job due to his word of endearment directed at the employer during the interview.

The job was reportedly meant to see him earn N200k if he had been successful, however his attempt to be informal caused him the offer.

This is according to controversial blogger and investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo in a recent post via her Twitter handle where she shared the story of how a man lost a N200k job in Lekki for calling the boss ‘uncle’ during interview.

Kemi Olunloyo wrote; “A man lost a N200K per month job at my brother’s company in Lekki. He was the best qualified candidate. He lost the opportunity simply because he called my brother “Uncle” during the interview. Stop addressing people with titles you feel comfortable with. RESPECT”

it doesn't mean? Is the man his uncle? Does it not occur to you that he is trying to patronize the interviewer. Your interviewer is not your uncle and don't address him as such.

Why in the world will you refer to you're employer as your 'uncle'?

That is not smart at all, very degrading! If I be your employer, I'd sue you for defamation.

Your employer is never and can never be your 'uncle'.

Let's get some things right for once!

Just curious why the added word "attractive" to the job in the opening thread title. is it the N200k or that the job itself is so amazing?
