They show pics of recovered AK that were not recovered at all. But the cash for 20,000 cows will be actually paid to the bandits.

That's a false allegation, you couldn't be sure of this allegation. How could you? This is simply lack of trust on your part. What do government stand to gain by financing bandits against the residents. I actually think that you don't know the scale of killings, destruction and stealing!

Good initiative but wrong approach. Instead of enticing them with cows, I would prefer the government use the re-integration approach. This approach is holistic: it covers the religious, social and psychological well being of the bandits. Again, another method I find appalling is de-radicalization. It is a one-sided approach where the instructors use religious doctrines to remold, rebrand, reshape and renew ex-terrorists. It is equivalent to religious brainwashing. Re-integration is a process; a step by step approach. If one process is ineffective or faulty, it must be corrected before moving to the next stage. It uses Emotional Intelligence. Society must accept them (sociological), fear of god religious), mental fitness (psychological). Let me stop here. DOM DOM, I MISS YOU.Thank you.

It may sound cold but I will say the northern elites, intellectuals, political class and their middle class (if there is one) deserve what's happening to them but sadly it's the poor masses that suffer the most. We are all "seeing the legs of the corpse they buried improperly years ago". This is the outcome of the Almajiri system and consistently using religion to keep their people in poverty. Another 12 to 14 million set are waiting to grow up to become bandits gang members. If all the north care about is holding onto power without taking care if its population, then let them continue. They will eventually implode from inside. My only fear is they may drag other regions of the country into their mess. The country need to restructure fast into regional units. If the north refuse this option, they will still collapse because all their social fabrics and traditional institutions have nearly collapse. The bandits are not even scared of their Sharia-based justice system.

Problem is that most Nigerians are not "straight thinkers" and like over complicating issues. What did you read in the newstory? Cash or cow?

Like seriously? What about the prop they have killed? Where is justice in all of this? So we need to start paying murderers to stop killing? What kind of orientation are we having these days? You kill ruthlessly and get paid for it.
