The Republican states have always been pro 2nd amendment so most of them are already legal gun owners in pro republican or pro 2nd amendment cities. That had nothing to do with the current surge. The current surge in gun purchases is happening because of the heightened insecurity and inability of police to respond adequately to the rising crime rates. The criminals have been released into the streets by liberal mayors so what did you expect? That they will all suddenly turn to saints? They are back to doing what they know how to do best. Everybody that has been arrested in the past few weeks for gun violence have criminal history, most of them released into the streets by liberal mayors.
