The more I eat (esp bad foods) the less I hear, feel or see.

The less I eat (eating good foods mostly) the more I hear, feel or see

I fast (sometimes fruit fast) while reading/listening to the Word of GOD.

I feel healthier and stronger in the Spirit after fasting, praying and constantly reading/listening to the Word of GOD.

Stop feeding your flesh too much

Okay.

I also know about a man that can only prophecy accurately after taking a few bottles and has become tipsy.

I guess one size doesn’t fit all afterall

Can you explain more what you mean by bad food - watery beans with garri, eba without meat, pap without sugar ?
Whirl good food are delicacy like fried rice and chicken, salad with beef

Lengthy fasting of 21 days and above often open me up for some revelations about life.

The more u fast often, the more you access deeper things around your spiritual environment

When you're hungry, you think but when you have enough in tummy, in pot and in store room, you become less worried and too lazy to think beyond your cycle

Ecclesiastes 9:7-9So go and eat your food now and enjoy it. Drink your wine and be happy. It is all right with God if you do these things. Wear nice clothes and makeyourself look good.Enjoy life with the wife you love. Enjoy every dayof your short life. God has given you this short life on earth and it is all you have. So enjoy the work you have to do in this life.

Gentle0wavez:
Solomon said on Ecclesiastes that to eat, drink and enjoy the fruits of your labor is the only good that this life has to offer, and he was a wise man so I concur

Since wisdom is the application of knowledge, one can be foolishly wise. By that I mean one can be wise enough in foolish decisions. In Solomon's context, we should enjoy whatever is the proceeds from our labour but that does not take away the fact that Solomon also said that finally, the conclusion of the whole matter is fear God and obey His commandment. Denying yourself, that is, appetite denying discipline to better concentrate on God is made manifest through fasting and it is obeying God's commands

It's that simple that's why people say you are hungry for success.

When you are hungry you think, once you have eaten everything moves till tomorrow. That's why as a young man who is mature leave your parents house and start hustling. God and the universe open doors when you are hungry, it's a spiritual law that works for Christian's Muslim traditionalist etc

the closer I am getting to God and studying his Word, the less hungry I feel. Before, I used to eat very big rations of food but now with a little ration I am done for the day. Even those around me noticed it. These days I only eat well so as not to give the devil a space to introduce ulcer in my life.

You cannot get ulcer because you don't eat well. Ulcers are bacterial infections. Jeez!

When you starve yourself...
Your senses are sharpened.
That's your survival instinct kicking in.

New King James Version Isaiah 58:3-10 ‘[b]Why have we fasted,’ they say, ‘and You have not seen? Why have we afflicted our souls, and You take no notice?’ “In fact, in the day of your fast you find pleasure, And exploit all your laborers. Indeed you fast for strife and debate, And to strike with the fist of wickedness. You will not fast as you do this day, To make your voice heard on high. Is it a fast that I have chosen, A day for a man to afflict his soul? Is it to bow down his head like a bulrush, And to spread out sackcloth and ashes? Would you call this a fast, And an acceptable day to the Lord? “Is this not the fast that I have chosen: To loose the bonds of wickedness, To undo the heavy burdens, To let the oppressed go free, And that you break every yoke? Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, And that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out; When you see the naked, that you cover him, And not hide yourself from your own flesh? Then your light shall break forth like the morning, Your healing shall spring forth speedily, And your righteousness shall go before you; The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard. Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer; You shall cry, and He will say, ‘Here I am.’ “If you take away the yoke from your midst, The pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness, If you extend your soul to the hungry And satisfy the afflicted soul, Then your light shall dawn in the darkness, And your darkness shall be as the noonday.

Seun, why should Muslims or anybody be allowed to comment on Christian’s post without having to accept Jesus Christ as their lord and personal savior but we have to accept Mohamad as the prophet to alla. It’s not fair. You are a tech man if that’s what you would call yourself. Look at your fellow tech men around the world. Their minds have been evolving. I feel like you have just been stucked in 2005. Common look at your emojis but why the hell shoujd peope acecpt ala before commenting and the same preference is not given to Christians? What the hell is that? Isn’t that hypocrisy? Look at quota reddit and the rest. All you tech guys on this app, please for your next startup, look at creating a community where there is freedom okay? Please Seun, evolve.

But you will be wrong to think he prophesied by the spirit of God. In fact, God can punish you for willingly taking side on another man's wrong way.

So please watch it. Jesus loves you.

Bros me sef just tire... It's these same vagueness and subjectivity that makes religious people seem quite nuts, and alienates them from more rational thinking folks.

Unfortunately, to hear from God doesn't have such a calculation. He's our father.

ojaysam25:
How long can one fast to hear from God

A day's fast is good enough and as long as the spirit directs is good enough.

In fact, you don't need fast to hear from your father.
