Those steps I saw was for rn7, though I followed them and I when I got to update packages there wasn't anything to initiate again.....I use rn8

I don't like back and forth. It's the same process for all MIUI roms.

First download your own rom, then follow the guide

Search for your rom version number online

The steps are the same for all MIUI based phones. The assistance I expected you too seek is for a link to your Recovery ROM if you don't know how to get it. You can post a screenshot of the about page of your phone.

Haylou GT1 Plus that's what I use with mine.

Not that you can't use any one of your choice obviously.
