As if they will value them when they are returned. There are many art works wasting away without consideration, yet our people will travel to the west and pay heavily to visit those museums. We lack maintenance culture in Nigeria.

They should come. I have one that I will sell to them as one Holy Ghost Rev. Father has destroyed the remaining sacred shrine that should be part of our heritage in the name of casting away demons and evil people.

Religion is holding us down. We discarded those art works as evil and the white man bought them and put in a museum for viewing. We end up paying to and view them.

Africa have completely discarded their religions and cultures and are now fanatics of the ways of the white man..
But still, the white man knows how great Africa and Africans are, this is why your artifacts are so valuable to them.
Things you don't value..

Let's hear from the minister for culture
Sad to say, that ministry is nt functional since the advent of this corruption-chasing yet committing administration.

Artifacts they stole from shrines. I'm sure the people that stole those artifacts are dead (maybe mysteriously). Reminds of the movie " the oracle". These ones will now go and pay heavily for village deities (evil spirits) and mount them in their houses. Good luck to them

Evil spirits grin

My brother, people are making tons of money selling artefacts, you are talking about evil spirits.

Don't worry about the evil spirits... they are well taken care of in the UK museums. I'm sure the spirits don't want to return to Nigeria cheesy

Why are the whites so obsessed with the black man.

You don't like us, yet you steal, loot, do all sorts of atrocities towards us. Can't they just leave us the F alone??

It was Nigerians who stole them and sold it to the west during the war. Now they want it back, just forget it or they should make a replica. Paris won't give it back.

Artifacts like this are supposed to be locked up for display in well furnished museums across Nigeria.

In decades to come they'll serve as a window to the past for generations of Nigerians to get a glimpse of how their ancestors lived.

But because of the greed and corruption of the black man, a rich white man will get to display them (when he knows next to nothing about it's origin) at his mansion otherwise how would we know he's wealthy? undecided
