You cannot bring to the table what you don't have.

First of all technically KC is not anywhere near the level of Gabriel, Skill Gabriel leaves him in the dark, pace Gabriel is faster.

Gabriel can play both wing and striker.

Put a defender in front of KC and you will get a side or back pass.

So what can KC do better than himhuh

Put Gabriel in Liecester and do you think he would have scored just 9 goals in three seasons and 69 games.

Indeed put Ighalo, and or Obagoal, and you think they would not have scored a lot more.
Nothing more to say

The on-today-off-tomorrow transfer of Victor Osimhen to Napoli has still not been announced by the Italian club because the Lille striker wishes to have a share of his image rights.

Osimhen, 21, has already passed a medical, but Nigerian journalist Oma Akatugba, who has close contacts with the striker, has opened up on the latest issue delaying the big announcement.

He revealed that the deal is “95% done” and the only snag is what share of the image rights will be ceded to the striker.

“The player clearly wants to have a share of this (image rights),” he told Football Italia.

“What percentage of the image rights he would get perhaps could be the reason why that is still inconclusive.

“This is the only part of the negotiations that is yet to be fully resolved.”

Osimhen is set to become the most expensive African player after Napoli are reported to splash at least 80 million Euros to give him a five-year contract.

Eberechi Eze has been named Queen Park Rangers’ Sportito Supporters’ Player Of The Year for the 2019/20 season, reports Completesports.com.

Eze also scooped the Ray Jones Players’ Player of the Year and the Junior Hoops Player of the Year
awards for 2019/20.

Eze has scored 13 goals and
provided eight assists in 45 league appearances for QPR this season.

In the supporters’ vote, Bright Osayi-Samuel – who has won two
awards of his own – finished second and Ryan Manning third.

Osayi-Samuel has won 2019/20’s Kiyan Prince Goal of the Season for
his stunning solo strike against Birmingham City in December, while
he has also retained his Daphne Biggs Supporters’ Young Player of
the Year award, having also won it in 2018/19.

Osayi-Samuel has made 36 Championship appearances this season,
scoring five goals and claiming eight assists.

There are strong speculations out of Italy that Osimhen is yet to do a medical. Medical was scheduled for yesterday but these Image rights negotiations put that on hold for now.

The image rights issue is the reason why the deal hasn't been sealed yet. ADL is demanding around 90% of Vic's image rights. Now that's a big negotiation hurdle to cross. Lots of deals have crashed with Napoli solely b'cos of Image rights.
Perhaps Osimhen's new agent, D'avila can pull some strings and wing a fine compromise from ADL on the image rights % share.

The drama is not over just yet.

If i was osimhen i wont mind if i am cheated. Playing for Napoli is a big deal and i will make more money in the future. By now he is not living in poverty and Napoli will pay him well. In trying to have everything he may have nothing.

Yes, Auba has 20 goals this season. But Arsenal themselves have scored just 53 goals.

But the Jesus you're hyping has scored 13 goals while his team scored 97. That's almost twice as much as Arsenal's, and he could only produce better half as much.

I don't know who on earth would be dragging Auba and Jesus, like, seriously?

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m):
Well, to be fair, Osimhen is right to try bargain the percentage share of the image rights he will be willing to give up to the club. Osimhen's profile is bound to rise rapidly with the club and the club president, ADL, knows this.
This image rights thing is a strong part of Napoli's business model and is reason why several other deals have collapsed at the last minute.
Icardi deal to Napoli collapsed b'cos of this. Axel Witsel deal too. Antonio Candreva too. And many more.

Giving up 90% of your image rights is quite a huge deal. It may look like nothing now b'cos Osimhen is a young rising star with not much endorsement deals yet but with his growing profile and increasing number of endorsement deals to match his inevitable super star status, it would be quite a lot. And it would be for the whole duration of your contract.

But in the end, I think Osimhen will reach a compromise with the club and give up something around 70-75% of his image rights to make this deal happen, while he keeps 20-25%. His agent might even be able to strike a bargain for 65-35. That's just my guess. If he was a super star like CR7, certainly he would have more than enough bargaining star power to decide which percentage he should get and the club should have. And the club will just have to agree and go with what they can afford since they regard Ronaldo's star power.
Osimhen is not at that elite status just yet so he knows he isn't expected to pull enough weight to make the image rights 50-50.

But in all, He will be well paid salary wise (I hear/read €4-5 million I think) and the attached bonuses will also look good going forward. Also, he won't be at Napoli forever if he does make the great impact he is expected to make within the first 3 yrs of his 5 yrs contract.

In the end, this is business both for Napoli and Victor and bargaining is part of business. Whatever Osimhen agrees to as regards the image rights % share is what will hold for the next five years even if he transfers to another club within 3 yrs. That would mean he paying millions to Napoli as regards image rights until the remaining 2 yrs are over. This is quite a huge deal indeed and must be bargained.

I am hoping they will reach a conclusion later this week and get his medicals finally done. Time will tell.

P.S: Also note that image rights deals with Napoli requires you to cancel any existing endorsement/image rights deal you have with any other franchise. Another reason why image rights deals are rhe toughest to negotiate with the club from Naples.

The bolded is why most players don't like moving to Napoli.
This is the reason why Nsofor's move back in the day didn't materialize.
Napoli always want a 100 percent of your image rights. Osimhen should only accept if Napoli agrees to increase his wages

Now it is true Gabby J is probably faster than Nacho and that he is definitely more technically gifted than Nacho. I have no arguments against those b'cos they are true. Gabby J is definitely more skillful and has even better workrate infact.

But you see the bolded comments.... They are made out of stark ignorance and nonsense ramblings mixed with the dark acidity of your bias towards Homegrown Naija talents.

I am almost tempted to term them the dumbest comments I have read in the past 12 hours on this thread.

Put Gabby J in that Leicester team and he wouldn't even bench Vardy not to talk of scoring sef. Nacho at Man City had the best goals per mins ratio in the whole of Europe at one point in 2016 for the 2015/2016 season (his first professional season). Gabby J haven't managed that feat. So your talk of Gabby J in Leicester is crap and founded on nothing concrete.

Put a defender in front of Nacho and you will always get a backpass or side pass?? Really?? Is this what they are hailing you here for? This fallacious nonsense??

Now, watch this and tell me how many times he passed back when he was faced with a defender in the final third??

Infact go to 1:07 and tell me what you see Komekn... Nacho chickening out on taking on a man or Nacho actually sending that defender/midfielder into oblivion before sending an intelligently weighted pass into Vardy's path... Tell me what you see.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bZwX8jsVvfk

Then this below is Nacho in the final third crowded by defenders in front of him... Did he pass back? Did he try to find Vardy or find support with a back pass? Nooooo... Lad took brilliant quick touches and buried the ball in the bloody net.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ozJBwgUtPZU

And note this very carefully.... There are times in a game when a backpass or side pass is the best or better option at that time during gameplays. Passing backwards or sidewards have been proven to contribute to dragging an opponent's players out of their defensive shape in order to exploit pockets of spaces and create room for buildup to another attack or to quickly launch attacks against that opponent. It is not rocket science mister!!! Sometimes a back pass or side pass is more useful at some points during a game than a dribble that may lead to nothing.

You keep talking crap here about our Naija lads and your minions roll out the drums offering you drinks and sausages to stroke your ego. These "cocksuckers" of yours are really deceiving you for they know nothing themselves. Infact, I am pretty sure they have no idea what I just explained about the importance of backpasses or sidepasses even as simple as it is.

If anyone in here actually agrees with all (and not some of) what you said in that ill-informed and obviously bias-laden post of yours, then you all have really taken clownishness to the next level.

This is all of you below.... Clowns!!!! grin

The coach makes use of what's available available. If Koulibaly, Ramos and Van Djik are in the same team, the coach will be forced to play three central defenders.
