What is the maximum rate you are willing to buy dollar, someone offered to sell some to me at N405/$. He is allocated USD by the Bank to pay school fees abroad, it's kind of business for him.

Iamblessed007:

converting the money into USD is what I am avoiding. the exchange rate is too much for me. I could have converted itvall to USD before I left Nigeria but I made that mistake. Now that money will stay in Nigeria. I don't intend to convert and bring it here anymore.

Maybe no.4 will be: The richest man in Babylon.

Read the abridged version as a little boy, I still refer and apply the principles today as a man.

For those who can afford an expensive burial, i see no reason why not to go for it. People fly economy class..in the same plane there are people in business class/first class..

If you can afford it and have made provision for the expenses, no point subjecting our children to debts because of funerals

emmasoft:

Invest it in mutual fund. VGIF managed by Investment one (former GTBank Asset Management) recommended. Capital and returns of 7.5% guaranteed.
click the link on my signature to open account. You can also call/chat me with the number on my signature

N.B: Investment one will never ask for cash to open account for any of the products
What advantage does VGIF have over Axa mansards money market funds.

Similarities: They are both mutual funds, interest accrued daily which can be paid out or reinvested and are tax free. There is free entry and exit for both. No specific amount or time that regulates your deposit. Any amount anytime can be deposited.

Differences: Axa is mmf, while VGIF is in d fixed income category, interest ie rate for Axa is daily valued VGIF interest is benchmark with SDF- standard deposit facility (rate CBN give to commercial banks for their deposit), initial minimum deposit for VGIF is 50k and minimum holding period six months Axa minimum initial deposit is 2k and holding period 30 days.
Major Advantage of VGIF over Axa
The rate of VGIF is higher at 7.5%
It's guaranteed
AXa is 4.96%, not guaranteed, daily valued and 70 - 75% dependent on TBills rate.

N.B: the features of Axa particularly the low rate is not because of the fund manager's inability to perform but it's the features and current state of MMFs generally irrespective of the fund manager.
Presently I will advice you go for VGIF since it's also a low risk investment instrument with a higher rate.

The book, " change your thinking change your life" by Brian Tracy, is like a jargon-free version of "think and grow rich", it would really influenced your mind positively if you read it.

@Emmanuelewumi I greet you gallantly!
Allow me the honour to understudy you.
I went to fbnquest to want to dump my NTB money remitted but it never sailed through. The 11 point something percent was their rate but with no guarantee on my capital - the risk factor. They said I could lose part of my capital. I want some sound advice.
The investment portfolio gunning for is fbn fixed income fund.
Thanks.
