A Semi Ajayi Promotion Titbit

#VeryInterestingFact

In the 2018/2019 Championship season, Semi Ajayi got relegated to league one with Rotherham Utd at the home ground/pitch of West Brom. The match ended 2-1 with Semi starting in midfield.

Fast forward, West Brom signed him and another campaign began. The 2019/2020 Championship season.

Now today, on this same West Brom pitch where he got relegated last season, he has just secured promotion to the EPL.

Same pitch, relegated to EFL league one last season but promoted to the EPL this season.

Both events happened on the same pitch. What a story.

Football is beautiful and full of twists.

Congrats Big Semi. Another Super Eagle in a Big 5 league.
This semi guy is a giant ooo

And he failed to deliver once again, even though he was presented with good chances. When I said he has succeeded in rolling back his ABF years, some poeple called me a hater, yet it is playing out before their very eyes.

10 matches: no goal, no assist, no shot on target, no penalty won et al, yet you are a striker?
Let me start doing this to Chukwueze now and you will say that stats don't tell the full story?

Is this not plain old double standards?

What had Chuks done in his last ten matches too as an attacker?

Goals/assists nko?

Na wa ooo...your double standards set small pass 20days old corpse

Correct Naija G to gbadun !
The most interesting piece on this matter is that we have never had an English man who played for super eagles and actually impressed and became a hero. Every single one of them is either a pretender or an outright failure in super eagles colors... grin grin. Namely , Reuben Agboola , Shola Amobi ,Efan Ekoku , Efe Sodje etc. Well , maybe the current batch could rewrite the history and actually give us some hope in these English youngsters.

Meanwhie , Iwobi has nothing more to offer than we already see, Aribo would eventually be benched by real talents like Azeeze , Mikel Agu , Okechukwu , Nwakali etc. You cant come all the way from English and displace our home boys. Stay your English aass in England and play for your country of birth. Our samba like style doesnt fit into the way the English play.

Iwobi is trying.

Victor Moses did well.

I'm not against English born players in the team, but only if they want us as well.

I hate it when kids are playing us

How can you pick U21 football over GWG and people here are looking for excuses for him

Someone even said it's because he want a good club in the premier league like he wouldn't get an offer as a Nigerian International

English Premier League new boys Leeds United are interested in signing the standout player of Queens Park Rangers 2019-2020 season, Eberechi Eze.

The Sun UK is reporting that Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa has identified the Anglo-Nigerian playmaker as a summer reinforcement as he would bring creativity to the midfield if signed.

Eze is also attracting interest from Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham and Crystal Palace and it has been suggested that The Whites are ready to pay a higher fee if it comes to a bidding war.

It is claimed that the playmaker's asking price is set at 20 million pounds, which is a sum Leeds United would see as affordable given the money they are expecting in television revenues for promotion to the top-flight.

Leeds United first approached The Hoops in January over the signing of Eze and are ready to firm up their interest in the attacking midfielder after securing promotion.

The 22-year-old, who has one-year left on his contract, scooped QPR's Supporters' Player of the Year, Players' Player of the Year and the Junior Hoops Player of the Year awards for the 2019-2020 season.

Both Paul Onuachu and Cyriel Dessers hit target for KRC Genk as they drew 3-3 with Dutch side Utrecht in a pre-season friendly.

Dessers drew his Belgian club level at 1-1 against his former club.

It is his second goal for his new club since his four million Euros transfer from another Dutch club Heracles.

Fellow Nigeria striker Onuachu, on the other hand, then opened his goals account ahead of the new season after he had overcome the Coronavirus.

He had fired blanks in the previous test game when he played for half an hour against another Dutch club Excelsior.

He was the team’s leading scorer in the league with nine goals in his first season in Belgium.

Stephen Odey also played in the second half for Genk.
