Good evening my oga's,my luminous inverter ion,is supplying current, but isn't charging my batteries, what's should be the problem.

Clarify what you are saying.

Are you saying the inverter part works (works on battery) but it won't charge? Or are you saying something else?

If it is what I first wrote, change the fuse in the inverter usually located at the back of the inverter. Really easy to do.

My friend's ritar battery 200amp was left uncharged after 2months,do u think local shops that charge battery for a fee can revive it? No swelling just not not charging again.Pls house, any solution to this?

Just get a small battery charger of about 1-2amps rating, connect the battery to a stable power supply for like a week or two.

I've used this method to revive a couple of diesel generator starter batteries that their generating sets don't run often at work.

Good day Sirs,

Please I need help with my installation.
Purpose of Use

i. A 65W HP laptop and
ii. A 5w bulb

Or
i. A 30w led TV
ii. A 5w bulb
iii. 10w Starttimes Decoder.

If the TV is on, the laptop would be off and vice versa.

Now, I recently got my own solar installation with the following components:

• A 650 VA UPS
• A 30 Amps Charge Controller
• A 150W Monocrystalline Solar Panel
• A failing 75AH Car Battery (Removed from my car)

Now here’s the issue:
i. The UPS hums (at low volume anyway. You would have to place your ear close to it to hear its humming.
ii. My battery lasts for less than 20 minutes on the 5w lamp ALONE (at night) but stays on during the day
iii. My laptop lasts for about 1 minute (during the day) and about 30 seconds at night before the UPS beeps and shuts off

My questions:
• Is the humming normal? It beeps at regular intervals but that isn’t a problem.
• I intend on getting a GMB 40AH battery from Jumia (Would love to get 100AH but I am little bit down on cash now) Will it be enough?

Note: A friend said the UPS transformer is the reason why my battery doesn’t last and advice that I get an inverter. I tend to disagree. Is he right/wrong?

Thanks for your replies

Get a souer 500watt inverter, it is sold for less than 7k, your battery is gone, try to change it, get a dc converter for your laptop. Like this

The person above gave the same advice I'm about to give.
Buy a 500w power inverter. Change your battery.
I've been using 75ah car battery since last year November with no issues (battery management is key). Never exhaust your battery below 50%, I've been following that rule religiously and the battery is still serving optimally.
Take note, I use more of DC gadgets.
Buy a DC to DC converter as he suggested too. here's a short video of one below.

Thanks for your reply.
I checked on Jumia and I am seeing 12k for the 500W inverter (Please see the attached pic).
I will also get a new battery as advised.
However, about the DC converter, I dont know where and how to use one. Can you please throw more light?

Thanks bro.
I will get both on Friday (Inverter and Battery).
But that DC converter, like I said, I really don't know much about it. What's the cost like? Can it power my regular LED TV or will I need to buy another one?

I will watch the video and update you.

Thanks a lot!

Bro, you should definitely have a fuse at the back. Watch this video for guidance and make sure you screw in the new fuse properly and tightly.

Usually these indian inverters have easily removable fuses; and I am kind of certain its the fuse as this has happened to me several times with my own indian inverter.

You should take it to a technician unless you are confident enough to open it up.

hi that's what I have been using for years to run my laptop, it make sense very well.

It's a DC boost converter where the output is always greater than the input, like boosting (12v to 20v). Or to any voltage not your choice, has adjustable knob.
