There has been news about Nigeria international airspace not working till October, while we wait for more news, we can’t fold hands and watch people go through mental torture. This thread is for people to share information they have or know about repatriation flights that pick people from Nigeria to UK, America and other countries. Also, the amount it will cost them. And how does going to Cotonou to board flight work? Is there any hassle with that? Any issues or difficultly ? Please share your experience and information you have, it will help a lot of people.

I was told by someone that i can travel via overland airways to Lome nd from lome, i can get Ethiopian airline to Europe. She said her friend travelled back to London same way. But when i searched overland airline website to check for flight to Lome, there was none. So i also checked Togo news if there’s any news about their international airport. I confirmed that the international airport has started operating but land border is closed for tourist. I am confused on how to go about this journey cause I am stranded here nd i need to get back to my family so i have been looking for informations on how i can travel back since the airports are shut down for international.
Please if anybody has traveled back through any neighboring country should kindly help.
Thanks

I have information about the movement of Air-peace moving people from UAE to Lagos. I’ll attach the picture a friend posted on her status today about airpeace movement ( she works with airpeace ) . So you can contact those number and email, I’m sure they will give you info if there is anyway you can move from Nigeria to UAE soon

I am seriously following
My MIL has been in the Uk for 7 months and tired of it, we never considered the flight to Cotonou but now it’s a real possibility
We heard of a flight leaving UK on the 28th to Cotonou and then she will take toad transport to Lagos.
I hate the whole thing, there is no direct information and looks like it’s all hush hush.
Anyone with better information please post. I really hope there is evacuation flight to Nigeria from UK because I don’t trust this Cotonou business

Yes I also got this information about the Lomé route and Ethiopian airline. As a matter of fact. Someone said she will send me the contact of the people In charge of that at the Ethiopian airline. But she said it’s about $1,400 to do that aside the trip to Lomé. Now, there are repatriated airline moving out from Lagos and Abuja to UK, America and co. I heard it’s cheaper. Let’s hope someone comes here to give us information about that.

I wouldn’t wana pay such money to anybody. Some People are literally looking for ways to milk stranded people u know.
Nd then, assuming someone successfully get to Lome by air as they claimed. wont they isolate such person?
Cause i read that Togo charges passenger for covid 19 test. So you can imagine how stressful the whole trip would be.
I spoke with a friend that works at the vfs nd he told me it’s likely international flight resume by middle of august. If they can truly open by middle of august, i would rather use our airport than going through Lome.
If anybody knows how we can get airlines that moves from Nigeria to outside should kindly help us. Or if we have anybody who has traveled via Lome successful should please help.

I’ve heard of this route too and I think it might be the best idea. I’m also looking for info on this as my wife is in Nigeria and I can’t see her.

This is going to be a very long discussion, detailed discussion and people sharing personal contact of people they know that can help. Not everyone is comfortable with sharing personal contact on Nairaland that has 5 million users. Please people are affected so bad and some are committing suicide already. Don’t discourage people from doing what will get them to their destination.

If you’re not affected by this, just zoom off. We don’t need your opinion on how to relate with people who can help people get out of Nigeria with solid information. We don’t want any negativity

You clearly saw what the other guy that went through lome to Canada said. He had to join groups and they made flight arrangement together. Source for information that would benefit them because he’s visa was going to expire. So please, take your negativity away. It’s the last thing anyone needs right now on this thread
Re: Information About Repatriation Flight And How To Travel From Cotonou by Ahmed4002(m): 8:57am On Jul 24, 2020
There are alot of flights leaving almost every week.
But the cost is bit outrageous.
Example Ethiopian airlines cost about 1000 dollar to Addis Abbaba from Abuja and 2200 dollar to other destination.

But for Ethiopian airlines, you can book yourself directly from the airline website.
But you might have some challenges with them. They would claim it's an evacuation flight and the ticket on the website was a mistake. So you need to pay the remaining charges. If you cause a scene. Then they would bring another outrageous requirement.

Permit from Nigeria foreign office
Permit from home embassy
Covid 19 test.

It's just complicated honestly. The best option is for the chartered flight. If we have large numbers

These figures from Ethiopian airline is outrageous. How much does chartered flight cost and why is anyone not looking into Cotonou route at all? Air France from Cotonou to London is 1,300 dollars. I saw that online

The logistics to Cotonou is the main issue.

Except if we have large number. Then we can make an inquiry for chartered flight from Nigeria to Cotonou. Or alternatively we can any of the international airlines Nigeria office for the possibility of chartered flight, the cost, procedure etc.

Nobody needs your personal details here and you don't need to use your personal details here to be able to share ideas.

This thread was created to share ideas and not to harvest personal details for whasapp group.

Anybody that commits suicide because of this is just selfish

I created this thread and it’s for people who are thoroughly affected not for people like you who don’t have any idea of what passport cost.

No matter how much you try, people won’t share personal contact of their connect on a platform like this. You’d have to contact them personally. Hence why a more limited circle is needed. Common sense should tell you if we are going to source for chartered flight too, the arrangement can’t take place here with the level of fraud and sensitive information.

But like I said, you’re very limited. I don’t expect much from you.
