Funny this report omitted the fact that this genius started her coding in Benin City, Nigeria!

Mayaki’s passion for technology started at 7 years old, where, in another two years she would obtain a diploma with a specialty in multiple software programs including Advanced PowerPoint, Desktop Publishing, and Advanced Excel. She is still actively learning other coding languages and programs to expand her knowledge even further.

“In the club, there are currently about nine pupils. Hopefully, the club will increase its members in September,” she said in an interview with Face 2 Face Africa.

The coding she attended and started at age 7 and then onward to earn a diploma was in Benin city, Edo state.
She only left Nigeria after obtaining the diploma at 9yrs old.
The report above omitted this information, is that by an error of omission or deliberate to deny the credit due Benin City and Nigeria where it all started?

Go to Google play store and download coding app and start learning right on your phone.
Search for any coding book in PDF format.
Use that same phone to read the book and do the coding. ..

Of course that is IF you are interested....
I have already learnt how to program.

Firstly this girl is not a Nigerian. She might have a Nigerian background but it doesn't make her one. We are always quick to claim any foreign good deeds

The hype about Nigerians doing well abroad is getting too much.. You can't even compare Nigerians to the Asians. Most especially Indians and Chinese. They go there and make waves yet you hear little noise about it. But here in naija we go as far as saying Nigerians are the most intelligent people in the world all because one graduated with first class whereas he was just one Nigerian out if many foreigners that came out with first class.. How many countries have you been to or what do you know to conclude that Nigerians are the most intelligent in the world.

What are you bitching about Mr man? A little positive news about Nigerians is better than huge negative news

Outside Nigeria you're successful but inside Nigeria you chances of being anything that's not poverty stricken is below very low level

But somehow you all wish to hold on to Niggerria

THEY need to study Niggerrians as a psychological problem

They forget that thay person did not succeed because he/she is Nigerian. The person succeeded becaise of the enabling environment. Finny we admire these things but will never allow it back home. They will say she is too young....

Not true, there's a difference between learning the syntax of a language and actually using it for something.

U can't even learn css3 in a day not to talk of ten hours.

Indians and Chinese as you mentioned also talk about their owns that are making waves abroad. Go to India and China nobody will talk about this young girl the same way we don't talk about the Chinese and Indian counterparts. I don't see anything wrong in we talking about our own.

Nice something... started up with coding and I could say I was a prodigy myself, never got this platform though.... There are many like her, if only this God forsaken country could help them to brighter future.

Wait o, why is it that once a lazy Nigerian child/ youth leaves this country he or she suddenly becomes useful and industrious??

Genuine answer pls cos am asking for my Ghanaian brother!!!
