This is how Nigeria police arrest people. This is not how they arrest the common man in the streets. They arrest only the driver if they can lay their hands on him. The other passengers are let go. I believe it was just an unfortunate accident. If she was so targetted as being speculated, there were many ways her death could have been made less suspicious. I just pity the driver and occupants of the vehicle....I remember when I inadvertently knocked my landlord's ward in the compound. I was about putting the car in a park mode to open the gate as I just returned from the office. All of sudden, the car just sprang forward and hit the gate and knocked the guy out. Men! I thought I had killed someone o. Blood everywhere. It still gives me shivers each time I remember it. Accidents do happen and if anything can go wrong, it will go wrong. The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) today, 24 July 2020, officially handed over to the Nigeria Police the 3 suspects, Mr Nehemiah Adejoh, Mr Igbekele Folorunsho and Mr Festus Gbayegun, involved in the incident that led to the death of late Flying Officer Tolulope Arotile. Giving brief highlights during the handover at the NAF Base Kaduna, the Commander 453 Base Services Group (453 BSG), Group Captain Hadi Ahmed, recalled how, on 14 July 2020, at about 4.30pm, a KIA Serento SUV, with Registration Number AZ 478 MKA (Kaduna), driven by Mr Adejoh, with the 2 others as passengers, knocked down Flying Officer Tolulope Arotile when she was walking along Air Marshal Ibrahim Alfa Road in NAF Base Kaduna, leading to her eventual death.

Group Captain Ahmed highlighted that the 3 persons involved in the accident, who were former schoolmates of the late Flying Officer at the Air Force Secondary School Kaduna, were on their way to visit the wife of a serving senior officer residing in the Base before the accident occurred. He stated that the NAF would continue to cooperate with the Nigeria Police and provide all necessary support to enable it carry forward the case to its logical conclusion.

It would be recalled that the NAF, during a Press Conference on 19 July 2020 to give details of the outcome of its preliminary investigations, had informed Nigerians that the 3 persons involved in the accident would be handed over to the Nigeria Police for further investigation and possible prosecution in line with extant laws.

Looking again at the situation, it seems he tried to dazzle the girl or impress her unto say he get car. He didn't keep a level head.

This is a girl who was worth much more than that rickety car I saw in that picture.

the two guys in the car will be charged as being complicit in the manslaughter if they were not just passengers that were picked on the road while the driver was driving but actually left the house the driver was coming from with the car, so if the driver of the car gets like 10 years sentence at conviction, the other two guys might get something like two years conviction sentence......this is by the way sha....

the girl's family should just accept the will of God by forgiving those guys. I know it's not easy and they will need a closure. it's not going to be easy for them at all, the pain will be too much for them right now....

It’s very sad that this young, brilliant lady with a bright future is gone. I feel sad each time I see her pictures or read about her.

However, I feel sad for these guys as well. They will live with this for the rest of their lives. To me (and I may be among a few in the regard) it seems like a genuine accident.

This very sad and unfortunately the police sector has been bastardised, a proper forensic investigation should be done also on the vehicle mechanism operation. This could be human error from the driver or mechanical failure from the side of the vehicle.

The Flybywire electronic throttle control equipped in some vehicles are prone to malfunction over time which can cause issues like this to the point of hitting and still climbing. That implies there was an angular force reacting to braking system of such car.
