While thinking about possible scenarios that might play out in Nigeria if we keep going in this direction, i thought about the possibility of the South uniting together to rebel against the north...
My Question is this: Can The North-Led FG successfully Quell a United South Rebellion? Do they Have enough Influence to control the Security Agencies In the South?

I totally agree with you about how the structure of Nigeria - which ceded so much power to Abuja - captured by the North is the enabler of Northern domination and southern exploitatin

how did the North rig the structure of Nigeria to their favor but disadvantage of the South?
What were the South doing - particularly Igbo and Yoruba - when North was manipulating the structure and system?
Who is disproportionately responsible for the success of the North in rigging the structure?

The North definitely gained so much power due to their influence in the military... Their victorious civil war further strengthened their influence in the south east and south south...

I also dare you to show me how the northern elites are denying education to northerners. If I'm not wrong, it wasn't a southerner that built ABU and a gazillion other schools we have.

But ObJ and GEJ are from Southern region now.. Why didn't they do anything about it?

To move foward the Igbo's and Yoruba's must bury the hatchet and support a candidate from the South-South to represent their interest. Enough of this it's Igbo's turn to rule, an Igbo's president with the backing of Northern Nigerian's cabal will be another weak president, just like GEJ and OBJ.

Presidency coming to the south is noth the issue... The presidential system makes it look like the executive is the sole arm of ths government that decides everything... This is very wrong.. Even if President comes from the south, the Legislature is controlled by the North, The Judiciary is controlled by the North. The Millitary and Law Enforcement Agencies controlled by the north as well... What do you think a southern president can achieve with this kind of unequal structure...
Its just like saying a black president will root out racism in the US when other critical sectors of the country is controlled by whites...

No they cant. If the SW, SE,SS actually stood together, they could crush the North. The only way the North could defeat the south if one of the SW,SS, SE joined the North to fight the South and everyone in the South already knows the zone that is most likely going to join the North to fight the South
