IspitonCowards:When those houses were built(form of civilization), your people are still living in the hut. Besides, we keep telling you that those buildings were deliberately leave(sanctified). There are new sites that are being develope in every Yoruba town. Or is it your believe that all the houses in those towns are like that |

Bullshit! The politicians in Igboland (just like with other regions) are a result...a consequence of the type of godfather, ghana-must-go, vote-buying and thuggish partisan-politics that's been allowed to fester in the Nigerian political space! While our politicians should take some of the blame for the lack of adequate infrastructure and development in our region, a bigger portion of the blame should go to the center (Abuja)! Moreso, given the type of all-powerful unitary system of gov't that's been in place for decades now! |

IspitonCowards:Numerous links abound nairaland of erosion gully settlements, and uninhabitable & unhygienic shanties in the east. I won't reshare that. While urban renewal is necessary, the pictures you labelled yourself and shared are a perfect example of a city which has experience civilization over 200 years ago with its building still surviving due to the use of original materials and free of war torn adversities. Had it been your brothers had there way, they would have flooded there with substandard materials as they do in Lagos now. Check the cries of your people, it will take eternity to repair the damage in South east. That's the reason the Nigeria government looks away anytime issues from there is brought up. Because all developments will be later washed away sooner or later https://www.climatechangenews.com/2020/01/20/erosion-crisis-swallows-homes-livelihoods-nigeria/ https://irispublishers.com/gjes/fulltext/gully-erosion-and-landslides-in-southeastern-nigeria-causes-consequences-and-control-measures.ID.000541.php

hajimosho:Bros do you want us to go back to 200yrs ago?, The SW by 2020 standards is an eyesore and you know it, About gully erosions they abound all over the southern part of Nigeria |
| Re: Igbo Politicians Are Responsible For Poor Infrastructure In Igboland by hajimosho(m): 1:07pm On Jul 25, 2020 |
IspitonCowards:What we are telling you is that south east has no standard at all. Nothing worth of being compared against the west. According to the article written by Boniface CE Egboka1, Akudo Ernest Orji2 and Hycienth O Nwankwoala3 "In southeastern Nigeria, soil and gully erosion and landslides are responsible for the widespread destructions of human, animal and plant lives, domestic, industrial and commercial property, transportation and communication systems, degradation of arable lands, contamination of surface and groundwater supplies, isolation of settlements and migration of communities." https://irispublishers.com/gjes/fulltext/gully-erosion-and-landslides-in-southeastern-nigeria-causes-consequences-and-control-measures.ID.000541.php Don't cry on this thread and don't lump us together with south-east. Your region is not viable for investment, habitation of man, plant and animals, the most prone to migration due to natural factors and others. Cry alone |

Great piece bro.. Same thing I've been saying all for a while. We deliberately & foolishly ignore our immediate leaders.. but curse 'Abuja'. We're own worst enemies! Abroad, development is majorly handled locally by the Municipalities & Councils. |

IspitonCowards:You obviously have never left the SE there must be more Igbos in Ibadan than in all of Umuahia and Aba combined together and they speak their Yoruba with a strong Ibadan dialect too. They spent the last few years fighting over who will be the next Eze Ndigbo of Ibadan even the Olubadan was unable to settle it for them. They must have reached the Supreme Court over that matter by now. |
| Re: Igbo Politicians Are Responsible For Poor Infrastructure In Igboland by Nobody: 6:55pm On Jul 25, 2020 |
Christistruth00:From Ogbomosho bureau of Statistics, There's must be more Igbos in Ibadan than igboland itself nah, Lagos has the major concentration of igbos, other SW states can be compared with the number of SWesterners in the east |

IspitonCowards:Stop deceiving yourself, the Ibadan Igbos even love the city very well for its peacefulness some of them can hardly be distinguished from Yoruba some of them their families have been in Ibadan for more than 50 years and they were born there. Not to talk of the new arrivals who are still coming everyday. |

iykbethany:I totally disagree with above idiotic submission. The southeast zone states were created with prejudicial tendencies meant to achieve what the goofy author of the above post seemed to enjoy. From abandon property to draconian boundary adjustment, indigenization policy, number states and LGAs, location of federal units and Offshore crude oil revenue allocation were stacked to have adversarial consequences on the Ndigbo and the region so that goons such as writer of the above junk could have field day. Ordinary seaport and worthy international airport are being denied to the entire people south-eastern Nigeria so that Ndigbo should not by any default have a strong hold on any section of Nigerian economy. |
