I wonder where they can be stationed, Maiduguri is an open area n sniper isn't a very mobile gun, na which chance person get to go find place dey find target with sniper. Except na base or they are going for ambush.

What do I know? cool
your right in a way but also know that snipers have both secondary and primary weapons
if you know the Maiduguri terrain you'll discover some areas are mountainous while most are just mere plains so in this plains most times snipers are also found in trenches to eliminate targets afar off in case of ambush

For those wey think sey DSSC nah free ride, Well, Maybe U All should try READ THROUGH the Words of CHIEF OF DEFENCE STAFF at the Commissioning of the 373 DSSC CADETS earlier today

Minister of defense not chief of defense staff. Also some would be posted to north east and west which is normal but doesn't mean there are gonna be in the battlefield, i quote "there are to support the various ongoing internal security operations. “Most of you will find yourself in various theatres in support of these operations". So its a random stuff, everything depends on where u land

373 DSSC Cadets, that's 10 cadets from each state plus the F.C.T and 3 extra.
Wow, they should increase the numbers of intake this year.

You cant calculate it like that, some state might be short

Why na, Someone might feel cheated if only like 5 people were chosen from his state and he's seeing other states with 11,12, e.t.c

The reason why i said some state might be short, some might have died, another might be expelled, others might not turn up etc. So many factors, shey u get now?

plus bro in as much as I detest this move to reintegrate these bandits in to society, I want us to understand that most of these people were forced into the sect... most joined to protect their families and villages... most are young boys and millennials...will it be fair to kill them because of a decision that were probably forced to take at gun point?

There are things i can believe unless if they just change everything that a dssc officer can join in the war front, so far so good u can be posted in the north but u gonna be in the base not fighting war. The soldiers won't disclose some things to us, its only when u inside that is when u will know whats up but the fact remains dssc can't go to war unless it has been changed.

Met the guys here today passing out.
Spent time in their hostels with a lil chichat, anybody wey see wetin I see no go even think of SSC again..
Enjoyment wan kill the newly commissioned officers they even have barbecue stands in their hostels. Though most of them looked old and hagard(them talk say na training grin ) even the ones wey fresh enter jaji come black and rough like Bokoharams. Only God knows how e go be for those SSC guys at NDA.
They softened alot of things for these present set of officers. It will take them prolly one year before they start army work proper. For now it will be from one course to the other starting from regimentation course Serti(Taraba) in a month's time before moving to their respective corps.
I wish the new officers a wonderful, fun filled career ahead, their expectations will never be cut shut IJN. They've earned it(**)
