lemme keep shut before someone calls me oversabi lioness take care of their cubs and other lioness cubs in the event of sickness or death and raise them as theirs without any discrimination so won't be surprised taking care of an antelope or gazelle by a lioness without eating them.

it's quite easy to dismiss them as terrible, but if you know what those animals have to go through. sometimes, they go on hunt and leave their young ones but come back to see they've all been eaten. The only strength they have is their numbers, a lone wild poses very little threat

Lions particularly, don't see hyena's as preys or snack reason being they taste like rotten flesh.

And i've never seen an apex predator kill and eat another apex predator. They just kill and dump their carcasses.
