Sabbath is Saturday. The seventh day of the week. It is a day we shouldn't do any work but only those that please God. It was instituted from the beginning of time after creation. It is the only day that God blessed and hallowed. Jesus went to the synagogue every Sabbath while he was here. Jesus also said he didn't come to destroy the law but to fulfil it. If Christ went to the synagogue every Sabbath and we are Christians who should follow his footsteps, why do we all go to church on a Sunday? God doesn't change neither does any of his laws. He is the same today, tomorrow and forever more. Let us awake and start keeping the true Sabbath - Saturday.

My understanding of it, is that "true Sabbath" = eternal rest. That is to say spending your eternity with God is your real Sabbath Day. God rested on the "7th day" but the 7th day is actually not a "day", it is eternity

Where did you get this understanding from? This isn't true. The Sabbath is the literal seventh day one. Don't confuse it with eternity.

It was ordained by God as the day in which He rested after creating the heaven and earth in six days.

Sabbath was really made by God for mankind because God

- Does not sleep or slumber He doesn't get tired like we do. He's a Spiritual supernatural being. We are flesh and we get tired, hence we do need rest.
- God wants a day to have us to Himself without the distractions that trading or other activities bring into worship.
- Every living thing God made needs to rest to avoid breaking down.
- There is a place of rest in God spiritually that we need to enter for our own peace of mind. It is possible to lay down and try to sleep but if your spirit/ mind is not at rest ( busy or worried) you won't sleep!

Which Roman Emperor. Read your bible very well. Jesus Christ fulfilled the law of sabbath. Acts 20:7, that's the first reference to worship on a Sunday

It's just a way to help people rest after a work-filled week.

I liken it to the Yorubas who attach "omens" to some actions but in actual fact are just trying to pass off a message of right living to people.
