Hehehe. You act like you don't know how Nigerian police operate. Sure, what you said is correct.
But police will find a way to extort the guy. It will begin with his arrest and demanding for some money as bail.
Since death is involved, he won't pay anything less than 100k. That's for a start.
Next, he will be made to pay "administration" charges for the police to do their paperwork and logistics.... you've heard about people who are told to pay for the paper to write their statements on? That's part of it.

Bottom line, he's not going scot free, as far as NPF is concerned.

That is why he should not have brought her corpse back home. Who does that. He should have moved straight from the hospital to the station or let the hospital make the call.

Every hospital has a line to the police and the established ones know the procedure and if the vic was registered there previously can issue a death certificate that will state the likely cause.

If a health centre chases you away with a deceased or near death person it must mean they too have skeletons of quackery or illegality.

Nig police are the most foolish set of people. What is standard practice here? You only issue arrest when there is a cause or evidence. You just arrest the man because she is living with him. Ok now, they should charge him to court so the judge can throw the case out through the window. This country sef. No investigation, you just arrest somebody.

the judges are even worse than the inept police. You will be surprised that the judge may convict him of murder and send him to prison. Go and check the prisons, there are many people like that whose case should have been thrown out if the judges were competent! Most times they judge based on sentiments or their personal beliefs. For example if the judge is one self righteous person that feels it is wrong for them to be living together when they are not married, he may use that sentiment to becloud his judgement and declare him guilty of murder when he knows full well based on the evidence or lack thereof that the boy didn't murder her!

If not for divine intervention, I would have died of perforated appendix last month. (24/06/2020) it was on Wednesday morning
Mind you, on Monday and Tuesday of that same week I was healthy, I slept and work up only to discover this sharp stomach ache on getting to the hospital after x-rays "acute appendix "was diagnosed and had to be removed surgically( it was already ruptured/perforated) at that stage is deadly..from what the surgeon said appendix is very common among people nowadays.is not every stomach ache that you classified as poison..may God justify this young man if he is innocent,RIP to the lady.

I dont blame, you dont understand what arrest even means. The highest they can do at this stage is to question him and there is no evidence that points to him. The onus is on them to use available resources to prove that he is culpable or not. Well most nigerians dont even know if they have rights let alone defend such rights with their life.
