This young man's arrival changes the atmosphere of the EPL. He comes with fiyahh. Wonder why Pep did not go for him. Maybe he believes he can make a Ronaldo out of Gabriel Jesus.

Team chemistry is also important. One thing is for sure, he needs to learn Spanish. Samu also is in that boat. I have read his teammate complain about him being too unavailable
unavailable? She dem no sabi his name ni? They should just shout either 'Sam' 'chuk ' or give him nickname. I'm sure my guy will be readily available. ... lol

Mbappe has better PPG despite playing 11 games more than Neymar

That's the definition of impact if you ask me

Actually, sir. Neymar has the highest PPG of any player in France.

Any statistic you can think of, Neymar trounces Mbappe easily. A good playmaker is levels above a good scorer.

The only player in the world that has a higher PPG is Jordan Henderson of Liverpool.

I think it's high time we restricted some posts not covering Nigerian players and the Super Eagles as a whole. If a post has absolutely no link to what this thread stands for, it's better one thinks twice before posting it.

This is not the Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal or Man City thread. We have those threads elsewhere in the Sports section. If you need help getting there, I can show you the way. The fact that some convos can take us along those lines sometimes doesn't mean we should make it a norm to post some isolated unrelated post that has nothing to do with the Super Eagles or Nigerian Players.

Let's respect the title of this thread or I might have to report some posts for derailing. Thank you.

At the bolded, how's that working out for him grin ... Jesus has so much potential to be one of the best, if not the best in the world but I just don't see him getting there with City though I had a different view before he arrived at City

Aguero is a serious obstacle

Time will tell. Guardiola might have a trick or two under his sleeves. Not yet time to write Gabriel Jesus off.

Kindly object because football is universal. The knowledge we learn from the EPL can transcend to our understanding of things happening in the Super Eagles.

Expanding our knowledge will make us better in our understanding of the Super Eagles. Thus, limiting discussions to strictly Super Eagles matter might be restricting the growth of the thread.

Mbappe has 2.62 PPG while Neymar averages 2.57 PPG

Mbappe has played 20 games= 17W 1D 2L= 52points÷ 20G= 2.6 PPG

Neymar 15 games= 13W 1D 1L= 40points ÷ 15G= 2.667 PPG.

Also, of the 18 goals Mbappe has scored, only 4 have been first goals in 20 games.

Of the 13 goals Neymar has scored, more than half (7) have opened the scoring.

Mbappe is a generation talent but Neymar is indispensable to PSG.

Pepe- Bought for 10mil sold for 80mil 2years later

Osimhen- Bought for 14mil sold for 60mil 10months later

Mukela- Bought for 2mil

Morelos- Bought for 18mil (Reportedly)

They buy the best players and sell for more than 300% the fee they got them for

Yes, we learn and this is why our conversations can take us along such routes discussing EPL and other leagues from time to time.

What I am against is just monikers coming in here and dropping totally isolated and unrelated posts that defies the purpose of the thread. Nothing about those post suggests Nigerian players or Super Eagles nor does it suggest any link whatsoever with any discussion relating to our players. This is what particularly has to stop in order not to clog the pages of this thread with Junk posts unrelated to Matters that this thread is truly about.

In the end, this is not the EPL thread. Our convos can see us digress a little into the EPL and into la Liga and into a little bit of politics and Education... But it must have root and focus. It must have a purpose and when it is served, we fall back to the main focus of the thread.

We should not make the posting of totally unrelated subjects or content, that has totally nothing to do with what we discuss here, a norm.

For instance, one walks in here with no previous related discussion and drops a post on Benzema skydiving or another drops a post on Kane moving to Real Madrid for instance with absolutely no ties to previous discussions on the thread and with no relation to how we can actually learn from that as pertains the title of the thread. It must stop. It's derailing.

We have more than enough EPL threads for such info and much more... Chelsea thread... Liverpool thread... Arsenal thread... Manchester Utd thread... Even La Liga threads like Barca thread... Real Madrid thread and then some others... These threads are available. So it's wrong converting this thread dedicated predominantly to the Super Eagles and Nigerian football from all angles, into a Mini-EPL thread just b'cos we have EPL fans here.

We all must kindly respect this. Let's not derail the thread more than necessary. Abeg. Thank you.

P.S: I am very sure most of the people who will support you on this are those who are guilty of what I am "rightly" standing against. This is the Super Eagles thread and Home of Nigerian football on NL. EPL has many homes on NL. We only have one Nigerian football home. Let's respect it and not have it turned into a Mini-EPL house "under the wrong context of Growth." Growth of the thread is better when we stick to what the thread is predominantly about while also allowing some discussions outside it from time to time. But this must not be junkyard for anything EPL or personal club alliances. Let's respect the thread title and purpose. That's all I ask.

Points in cup games? Cup games should not count because losing a cup match or drawing doesn't mean you're out. (They lost their first game against Dortmund and still qualified).

But in league, anything other than a win is dropped points.

The outcome of the game is more important, that's how we know if the players involvement had any impact.

Like the home and away games against Dortmund, Mbappe didn't feature but they won while in the first leg they lost when he featured so you can say Neymar has better impact because he scored in both legs

But overall Mbappe does more

Today is inevitable. The EPL will be discussed today as we have two Nigerians battling for UCL tickets in same EPL. So convos are bound to arise. No wahala. But not that on a day with no EPL football or no discussion whatsoever, someone chooses this thread to come dump an unrelated and derailing post about the EPL or la Liga or whatever else or some foreign player and want us to look at it. I will report that post without hesitation.

Semid4lyfe, Dominique. Please Sir and Ma. Kindly take note.
