It has no significant consequence

Sango, we need fire oo. Show yourself n burn these corrupt leaders

It's too late to give up on this country. With one foot in front of the other, we can still take Nigeria back or even past the glory days.

But there has to be a revolution.. A revolution from the citizens

Not from persons with political agenda

We must all agree to change thiscountry. We can't keep minding our business. Else's the few's voice no go get impact

I still believe in this country

The question is where do we even start from , how do we begin to fix this country

Public office should be held accountable at all times

We need much more than roads, we need to be inspired again to be great citizen and work for the future of Nigeria.

There’s need for total overhauling. People vying for public office need to stop using provision of good roads, health facilities in their manifesto. By now those things should be automatic and in place

A tax payer has every right to use good roads, power supply,modern health care facilities, schools and other infrastructures. We shouldn’t be struggling for those things in this day and time

The even more shocking part is that they mostly do not deliver on those promises or when they do, it could sub-standard .
We need more humane leaders

I totally agree with you. We are just lucky that we don't have serious natural disaster.

Educating our people because you don't need money to build roads. You need knowledge. Let me explain. What do l need to build a road. Sand - If you have the knowledge of getting it, you get it. You only buy what you can't do. So you really need to educate your people with the raw skill that can grow your country. When you pay a Chinese man to build your train system, you are actually paying for his knowledge and integrity.

I agree absolutely, we are backward in our educational system and if we don’t do something about it soon we will never be able to measure up with the world

true that considerable number of Nigerians have a way to evade tax but as a white collar job holders you have no choice except you don’t work for a registered company. So yes, people pay tax and even tax authorities have been pressing Nigerians in recent years.

even the market traders pay one form of tax or the other, the only problem with that is that most of the funds are not accounted for. But trust me they kill those people

we feel short because we have a failed system that couldn’t track everyone. This is never the fault of the people, plus people will be willing to pay if they see how much the government has done for them .

I can imagine how exploitative they will be to the traders but on the average Nigerians dont like to pay tax. Most Nigerians don't pay tax.

Why should I pay tax when I still pay thousands to fuel my generator on a monthly basis, or pay for electricity that I didn’t use.
Why should I be tax compliant when I still have to pay heavily to give my children good education
Why should I pay when I have to visit private hospitals because the public ones couldn’t just serve me
Why should I pay when I can’t take my car out with peace of mind that I will drive on good road.
The “whys” are endless

The virtuous cycle have started already One good thing about education is that you get quick result. Invest well in education in a year. You will be reaping the benefits in no time.

Let’s assume no one even pays tax, companies can never evade tax and I’m certain that 30% of their annual income is no beans. With the revenue generated so far from CIT can we say we’ve seen how it has been put to judicious use?
