Let me help Aunty RadAutoWorks reply.

This is not right for several reasons.

For one, you are soliciting someone who you don't know personally and who doesn't know you personally too to help you ship a product from the US to Nigeria. It's a security risk no one - including yourself - will take on behalf of someone not known to them.

There are shipping services out there you can use — UPS, DHL, ShoptoMyDoor etc. They will help you get your product down to Nigeria from Amazon even faster than @RadAutoWorks will do.

Lastly, I'm not insinuating anything. Please don't be offended.
Azin henn!!! Some people get nerves shall ooh... Can you imagine the impetus

Like I earlier said, they harass local taxi's that do pick and drop along the road. For cars as clean as what we have under bolt, never have I heard of harassment. For now most drivers know the no go areas of the state due to the insecurity issues. Myself just commute within the state capital and to other nearbys where I know its safe. Despite closure of schools, uniport and ust as u said, we still get relatively good requests even though its not as it used to be. The drought is relatively felt everywhere so it's not as if it's just ph. I don't know when you last visited this state but alot has changed.

The money cannot be compared to Lagos due to how wide Lagos is. For now we just work in the state capital and close environs.
For your driver that got beheaded, I believe there is alot to that story to what you are telling us cos I don't see how they'll kidnap and behead someone unprovoked.
My brother my last visit to ph was 2018 and I stayed for about 5months or thereabouts.

As for the deceased, dead body no dey testify for court, the only thing that we know was that he went to rescue a site that was down on both 2G and 3G then. Site was located in one of the dreaded LG in Rivers state.

If bolt n uber gain ground in Ph taxi guys will suffer a lot because riders would have known they've been reaped off all these while

I wonder why some of you lack dignity. Someone you are responding on her behalf is right on this thread and can choose to respond or ignore the request completely.

Mister risk analyzer, you seem to know much about international shipping than you know Lagos roads.

Anyway, I have got to find an alternative. You were quick to list the risks but never mentioned the dozens of businesses transpiring between nairaland members even when they have never met each other.

FYI, I had one of my cars paid for in the United States and shipped to Nigeria through a member I met here without knowing him before then.

No option to suggest maybe a verification or something, just an outright condemnation and 1001 reasons why such should never happen.

Please, grow up and stop asslicking. It will help you better[/s]

Now taxify (bolt) is going crazy.
We are complaining about low fare they want to make it lower
God will punish that idiot that always writes "Lower prices can attract more riders which will translate into higher driver earnings" as if the nincompoop doesn't know drivers will have to increase their work rates and spend more on maintenance in order to keep making what they were making before.
If higher driver earnings is their concern why can't they simply reduce their commission rate

Which riders will still opt for 'premium' when he can gonfor economy.

And the premium fares have been shitty, imagine what economy will be like.
Drivers will rush back to Uber, small time Uber too will introduce their own craze and drivers will rush to the initially abandoned bolt. Sometimes I feel like Uber and bolt have meetings on how to keep using drivers to play ping pong

Bolt is a very useless company. I can't believe that drivers are even taking that survey regarding the reduction of fares for more trips. Can you imagine? And some illiterate drivers will go ahead and tell them to reduce fare for more trips oo.

I am advocating for fewer quality trips that will yield more money and more profit, this hopeless company is talking about more low quality trips that will damage your cars and wreck you forever! Take note of the word quality. Drivers, do you really want more trips that are practically useless or fewer trips that are more quality even if its 2 trips per day? What exactly does bolt mean by reduction in fares for more trips? I will gist you.

Drivers, are you willing to see a situation whereby Bolt will make their base fare 200 naira like Uber and charge 30 naira per kilometre so that all sorts of animals and charlatans can flood the system for more trips? This is what they mean by more trips oo. Do not be deceived. You will think that you are making more money because
of the so called more trips but the reality is that you are wrecking your body and your car.

I have personally done my own survey and guess what? Riders are suprised at how dirt cheap ehailing is in Nigeria especially those riders coming back from abroad. Attached is a picture I got from a website that aggregates the price of ehailing from countries all over the world.

In Japan, drivers on Uber earn over 40 dollars per 10 kilometres they drive. At 466 to 1 dollar currently, thats 18,640 for a trip from Anthony Village to surulere which is approximately 10 kilometres. We have not added time and base fare oo.

In Hawaii, drivers on Uber earn over 20 dollars per 10 kilometres they drive. At 466 to 1 dollar currently, thats 9320 for a trip from Anthony Village to surulere which is approximately 10 kilometres. We have not added time and base fare oo.

In Nigeria, drivers earn less than 2 dollars for every 10 kilometres they drive! Infact its approximately 1.29 dollars for every 10 kilometres. Thats a "whooping" 600 naira for a trip of 10 kilometres from Anthony village to Surulere. God forbid.

You think am lying about the 600 for a 10 kilometres trip? Do the maths bro. Uber charges 60 naira per kilometre. 60 × 10 kilometres equals 600 naira. At an exchange rate of 466 to 1 dollar at the black market, you are earning approximately 1 dollar 29 cents for every 10 kilometres!

UNA MUMU NO TOO MUCH?

This is the exact reason why you find it hard to break even after suffering so many years driving. You can't pay rent, you can't feed your family and you can't build a house driving for either Bolt or Uber in Nigeria.

You know why? Car parts are imported. Oil is imported. As fares are dirt poor, car parts prices are rising due to exchange rates.

Shock absorbers for Toyota Camry is now 7500 each as against 5,500 it was before.

Drivers shine your eyes before you die before your time. Stop suffering and smiling. Dump that company called Bolt and find another hustle period!

Things are really getting very expensive. From food to transport fare. While Bolt is trying to reduce fare. If they try it I’ll move to Uber full time. Their fare is very low that most riders give tips on top d fare. They should buy cars and put on d road b4 reducing fare. Stupid people!!! They never talk about percentage reduction. There is nothing bad in a little waiting time for request, u can use that time to eat and exercise ur body.
Times are different now. Desperate times, everyone is desperate to make money. Bolt is no exception. They no longer make as much as they use to due to the impact of coronavirus.

They have absolutely nothing to lose by making a terribly low fare even lower at the expense of drivers and car owners. It means more money for them while the drivers suffer and sweat it out in traffic. Only an idiot rider will opt for standard fare when you have economy, same car? It doesn't even make sense.

I'm sure if Bolt goes ahead to reduce fares, Uber will follow suit. The suffering continues for drivers.

Drivers, copy my post above and share in your Whatsapp groups. Bolt wants to take you people for a ride.

They kmow Nigerians are highly desperate and hungry and may not refuse any bone thrown at them. Thats why they are doing all these nyama nyama.

All these questions they asked are tactical and some mumu drivers will willingly say yes to everything without knowing the implications.

Bolt wants to lower fares and use your cars as Kabu Kabu in order to make more money for themselves and damage your car. Drivers be wise.

Cast Bolt... Cast Bolt! Abandon that company. Very important.

These things r simple, drivers don't know the power they have, its pointless to riot or make fuss... Gently go offline for 3 days, work 1 day for those that need refreshing, go offline again for 2 days and back a again for a day refresting, until they call driver to a round table discussion, but it seems like hunger in d land will always win.

Bolt , very funny. Survey is lopsided....

The objective of the survey is to det weda economy shd b introduced or not
.

Primero/lag. Buses just got approval for increased fares.

The Nigerian railway just went 100% increase on all their coaches

N Bolt is thinking of slashing fares...

embarassed so sad, .wt fuel @ #143. Very terrible road network in d residences of d target riders...

Why are they doing this? Who needs more cheap riders...

To be honest we sincerely need a platform where atleast 70% of e-hailing partners can be reached.....

This companies just do as it suit them.... I don't know if anyone notice that today....around that afternoon destination was hidden.

Now they are talking of economy .....same car, same fuel cost....same wears and tears, same distance.... But low fare.....

Abeg who no go choose economy when you know the service is same as the lite.....why the premium package no sell, na cos less people opt for it....before we know it economy will become the new lite

Aswear if I get money I go buy that indriver repackage their strategy and app... In just a year .. Bolt will be out of business in Nigeria

Imagine someone on economy behaving rudely towards you with the 300naira him/she wan pay u...

Its practically impossible, I've made this analysis last week, before the lockdown everytin is almost at equilibrium, cos everyone is queuing into the uber/bolt idea, working class has set aside bills for transportation, drivers look out 4 nothing less than 15k above on sat/sun wit d party freaks/weekend hook ups and all these r achievable before the lockdown. So I see no reason why both is trying to play a smart one on the drivers or nature when things r yet to b back to normalcy by trying to increase their pace of making profit in season like this, its outright wickedness, I feel so bad, cos I feel people are helpless mentally, emotionally and financially. This is the advantage the so call capitalist r taking cos there is no unification among drivers, go offline and they use surge to tease u out and then give u another clear upper cut. If all drivers switch to mykab, believe me riders will download mykab same moment, cos they need to meet up with dis business too, most folks can't trek with their estate again, why do you think their always surge and short trips around surulere and yaba? Its a need and not want.

Have you ever seen a keke man that work from 5am to 10pm before?
