13% of US lawmakers are immigrants or the children of immigrants. There is no requirement for ministers to be born as Nigerians is there? As long as he is a citizen (naturalized or some other). I mean, according to the same news, we can assume he's lived in Nigeria since the 70s.

Constitution under citizenship law he is a citizen of Nigeria by naturalization because he has stayed in the country for more than 30years+. Lots of the ignorant reporters don't know citizenship law enshrined in the constitution so they mislead ignorant youths

As in I no just understand the level of their hypocrisy, I mean a person that has spent over 45 massive years in this country and a naturalised citizen isn't qualified for any government post?

Well, he can't be less Nigerian than the naturalized Benin Republicans, Togolese, Ghanaians, etc, living, breeding, and occupying political offices from Lagos to other parts of Nigeria.

This is like saying a naturalized Nigerian or African in America, Canada, France, etc, can never qualify for public positions... Aren't naturalized Africans becoming political office holders, here and now in Italy and England??!
