Why don't they rename the APCshit party to LLPP (Lie Lie People's Party); since their modus oparandi is now 'governing by lies'?

[s]Ok, I guess the biggest thieves in Abuja stealing Nigeria to death are outsiders from Zimbabwe. And going by your logic, a son that stole N200 from his father's wallet is worse than the armed robbers that came to rob the father of N10 million in his house, right? Ok [/s]grin
Nonsense analogy.

Are the leaders the sons while the followers the fathers?

Is there any way you could equate #200 to #40 billion naira?

1.Rather a father that receives 1 million naira to cater for his own children but decides to squander the money is worse than an uncle that receives 10 million naira to cater for his nephews but squanders the money.

2. Also a Niger Delta governor that steals 50 billion naira meant for his own Niger Delta people is worse that a Federal Government that steals 500 billion meant for Niger Delta people.

Why do most south west leaders have bad history
From tinubu to gbajami ...what ever his name to their Lagos speaker to Lagos governor to fayemi...I can go n on and on ...why na
The same thing happens in the south east, south south and all other parts of the country.

wow, so nice. Please explain more. Write a book on it that a FG that stole N500 billion from the Niger-delta people is better than a Niger-delta governor that stole N50 billion from the Niger-delta people. I'm sure it will be a New York Times Bestseller anti-corruption book grin

Documents available shows that the agreements were signed in 2013 and 2014. There is deliberate misinformation here.
Are you a paid agent?? The document you posted clearly supports what the cable stated, the last page you posted clearly stated Ministry of Justice gave legal opinion in July 2015, Authority to proceed execution was given in December 2015 all these collaborates the Cable stand. What is wrong with us that even stuff in written in black & white, we want to play politics with? Buhari's govt messed up on this issue, just like Jonathan's govt messed up on other issues- it is that simple. No need to play politics with issues that affect every Nigerian.
When will Nigerians realise that APC=PDP? Gosh.

The deal was signed at the dead end of GEJ government. The Secretary to the government of federation, minister of petroleum, minister of power, minister of finance and CBN governor all from the same school of thought, only Adoke was an odd man out. Ahmed Yola could not have agreed with Azura in July 2015 at the time Buhari government was just two months old. As at 21st August, 2015 when Buhari government was just three months and economy in recession and government machineries not fully in place, nobody can sign such document. Everything was concluded at last hours of Gej government.

Nigeria cannot work. What Jonathan team mentioned above did is what Buhari tribal and regional team is also doing. Nigeria is a failed country. Obj just wasted his time. He should be a very sad man. Some of us thought things can change, it can never .
Can you tell us where you got this your info from? I'm interested in knowing your source.

History of Azura projects since 2009. You can fool some people some days, but you can't fool all the people all the time. At least, cable has once again been busted for peddling fake news.
Just read the page below:
Oga read what you posted, this time slowly, pay sttention to the timelines e.g July 2015, December 2015 - then hopefully what the OP posted from Cable newspaper would become more clear.

The Azura-Edo IPP is also the first Nigerian power project to benefit from the World Bank’s ‘Partial Risk Guarantee’ structure, specifically created to meet the developing needs of emerging markets world-wide, and political risk insurance for equity and commercial debt from the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency, also part of the World Bank group. Significantly, the overall transaction will be underpinned by financial support provided by the Federal Government of Nigeria through a Put and Call Option Agreement agreed by Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, the Coordinating Minister for the Economy and Honourable Minister of Finance; complementing the Power Purchase Agreement that was signed in 2013 between Azura and the Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading PLC (NBET).

https://aiimafrica.com/media/media-centre/azura-power-signs-890m-financing-for-azura-edo-ipp/
1. The Power Purchase Agreement was signed by Okonjo back in 2013, we were already on the hook, not going ahead means breach of contract and anti investors atmosphere.

FG won’t give sovereign guarantees to power investors, says Fashola

By Adejoke Adeogun - December 4, 2018

“The Azura project was not initiated under this administration; it was started by the previous government but they couldn’t complete the paper work because the bureaucracy was not encouraging enough.

The Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola has declared that the federal government was no longer keen on providing sovereign guarantees to investors interested in building new power plants in the country.

https://newmail-ng.com/fg-wont-give-sovereign-guarantees-to-power-investors-says-fashola/
2. In 2018, the FG/Fashola actually saw the problem and categorically stoped and refused to Give Sovereign Guarantees to Power Investors.

Stop peddling fake news.

Read about this deal & I found out that it was signed in 2013, if we want to get things done right in this country we must start to look for facts instead of fiction just to attract clicks, our Media houses can do better by obtaining facts before rebroadcasting an unverified news, this things ain't that difficult to verify
"Although various agreements were signed with Azura-Edo
Indepentent Power Project Ltd and Azura Power West Africa
by Jonathan administration to facilitate the construction of
the 461mw plant in Edo state, they were not activated
before he left office on May 29, 2015, TheCable can report".

You are missing the point, the power purchasing agreement was already signed by Okonjo back in 2013, we were already locked into the agreement that we couldn't get out of, doing so means breach of contract, law suit and investors running away from Nigeria.

FG/Fashola actually saw the problem and categorically stopped and refused to Give Sovereign Guarantees to Power Investors.

The cable is mixing apple and orange.

From the way things are going It looks like the cable is our source of valid information.

How did we get here
They say it clearly Jonathan Government signed the agreements in 2013, an agreement signed, is an agreement that must be upheld, Fashola said it when they came on board, their hands are tied, they can’t renegade on a deal signed by the previous Government.

Pres. Jonathan Flags Off $1bn IPP in Edo State

From left: President Goodluck Jonathan turns the sod of the $1 billion Azura-Edo Power Plant in Benin City flanked by Prof Chidi Nebo (left); Governor Adams Oshiomhole (right) and Dr. David Ladipo Group Managing Director, Azura Power during the groundbreaking ceremony of the $1 billion Azura-Edo Power Plant in Benin City, yesterday.

It is the first fully financed private power plant; it is also the first power project to see the World Bank financial guarantee and multilateral investment guarantee agencies”.

https://www.alltimepost.com/2014/10/pres-jonathan-flags-off-1bn-ipp-in-edo-state/
GEJ at the ground breaking ceremony.

Maybe PMB traveled back in time to make Okonjo sign the agreement and also send Jona to do groundbreaking.

Why do you say as at August 21st, because of recession NOBODY can sign such a document. You seems not to understand that why they were all blaming GEJ for the recession, some crooks in the government then were cashing out. Was't the same period that one grass cutter was cashing out from the IDPS' fund in the North East?!
