Is it now a new news that we are ruled by foreigners? Your emirs, governors, ministers, legislators are either roving Fulanis, Shuwa Arabs, long distance duck traders, war displaced Tuaregs, holiday makers or almajeris and jihadists from far and nearby countries. That is why they treat you like shit.

If you are in Europe (any European country)after staying for ten to fifteen years most of us will be praying for our brothers or sisters, aunt or uncle, relatives of any king for papers. Calculate that very date back,he deserves to contest for any position in the country. Am not a northerner, sentiments sometimes makes us speak wrongly. Ten years and above in a strange land isn't a joke.

Is he born in Nigeria?... If yes I don't think there is any issue here...I can never ever support this administration but if a Nigerian born in another country can hold key position in that same country I see no issue here if this guy was born in Nigeria

But according to Nigerian constitution, being born in Nigeria alone doesn't make you Nigerian. At least one of your parents must be Nigerian.

The Nigerians in diaspora don't hide their origins, do they ?

It is when Ajayi Rashidi tries to sell himself as Ajax Sheed originally from New York that there would be trouble.

Reference:

Yet when Nigerian emigrants to nations abroad achieve great things in politics, goverment, the academia, the military and law enforcement, sports, the arts and entertainment under those alien flags we go haw, haw, haw before settling down in the mud bath of bigotry and ethnic supremacy.

If a Nigerian emigrated to the US in 1972 and is now an ambassador to Nigeria won't we be happily gyrating in the mire...

Nonsenaical reasoning. Sahara has lost its way in the desert on this one. Just give them a can of CoolAid.

It's not true. Atiku came from a part of the defunct Northern Cameroon that was integrated into Adamawa State. His original home town is part of Nigerian territory. This man's home town is in Niger Republic.
You cannot obtain Nigerian citizenship by naturalization.

Then as military president, Buhari voted for Idi Omaro(fulani man from Niger Republic) in 1985 as OAU secretary against his country man-ambassador Peter Onu in a gross disregard for country.

The same Buhari a delegation from Niger Republic passed through Kano to partake in his presidential election campaign? Remember, the railway being proposed from Kano/Kastina will also end in Maradi-Niger Republic.

So nothing new.Buhari have committed a lots of lawlessness & illegalities never seen by any president in histroy including the abuse of national security.
That railway project was specifically extended to Maradi in Niger Republic to serve as a conduit for importing their Hausa/Fulani kin from all over West Africa. What most Nigerians don't know is that Buhari and his goons have designated Nigeria to be the United State of all Hausa/Fulani in the world.

If you are not a foreigner that also claim to be a Nigerian, you should know that there's a qualification for Nigerians in American to meet before taken a stape as an American citizen. In which court did the Niger republic man swear affidavit to become a Nigeria? for you as a foreigner to become a citizen of your host country there's some legal process to pass through, as long he did not pass through any legal process he's still a foreigner and should be arrested for impostor.

Do you think any person from Nigeria can just stroll into America and join the military without background checks, citizenship or residency permits?

See that's the problem with people like you, you don't think at all. Right now there's no evidence the man even lived here for the 45 years I keep seeing all over this thread.

And how do you know his whereabouts since 1972 and whether background checks have been done on him. Do you work for the DSS, NIA or DMI. If you do not just shut it and sit down.

If he is not known to goverment how will he even be nominated....okay the President went abroad, flew over the heads of non protesting Jigawans and brought in a man from Niger Republic on their behalf.... by someone who clams to 'have sense'.... duh.

The problem with Nigeria is that we always look for ways to disregard or circumvent the constitution. Normally if an individual has stayed in a particular place for over 15 years, he is part of that community already.

But the law states that they have to swear an oath of allegiance to the state. If this man hasn't done this, I don't think it's right to give him such a government position. Also if he denied his ties to Niger republic or failed to reveal it to the Senate committee then I blame the Senate for failing to do their job.

Nigerians abroad who occupy government position have already sworn an oath of alliegance to those lands they reside in.

Nigerians in diaspora who are holding govt positions in foreign countries are holding positions based on MERIT of their exceptional qualifications, skills and long-term service and commitment at their career field.......OR holding positions because they CONTESTED in elections and were voted in by the citizens of those countries. Not holding positions as a govt favor to their cronies, nepotism or political appointment rewards for being the errand boys of the crooks in power. BIG DIFFERENCE
