Many of us are deformed character wise, to get better as a nation we must start from there

I used to have a Togolese colleague and he used to work at the seaport in Togo. Since seaports along the West African coast is interconnected. Things that can't happen in Togo happens everyday on the Nigerian side.

I also have a former from DRC and the first day he got to Nigeria. The disorganization of the country was an anomaly for him. Other West African countries dont have the economy we have but character wise, much better.

yeah, even what we call smaller countries do things better than how we do here. I really don’t understand how we are not ashamed to be called giant of Africa

It’s a lot of work getting this county to function properly, another question is are we ready for what normalcy/sanity brings ?

Sanity/ peppery functioning means you can’t bribe your way out of breaking traffic rules
Sanity means we pay bills promptly, I have experience of neighbors who don’t pay Nepa bills regularly and las las they moved out leaving bills for the next occupants.
Normalcy means no more tax evasion
Normalcy means everyone will be held accountable for their actions at all times
Are we ready to pay the price?

Even we at the lower rung of the ladder do not trust each other . Personally I’m always on the look when dealing with my fellow Nigerians. Little wonder why Nigerian companies don’t allow relationships among their employees or employ blood relations
it boils down to trust issues

Good question and that is why it has to be a gradual process. It took a while to get bad, it will take a while to get good. Character change takes time.

One irony of employment in this country is that employees complain there are no jobs while employers complain that people are not ready to work and display lack of trust

Another motivation is to realise that every country have their unique problem. The crime rate in the US is much higher than ours. The word Packaging like Oroyo used is key. We should be encouraged that we are not alone in the battle to make our nation better. As we speak a hurricane is building up somewhere in America. Nations have their own problems and this is our own.

We have a long way to go oo

We must not chicken out but we must be steadfast, courageous and dear to believe. Belief is key. Do the little you can do in your space

Encourage the young youths that will listen and most importantly, let your life style speak loudly.

We have even gone so far as to show to the world that can’t be trusted

We have all that we need, just channeling them well and we will be fine

An average Nigerian won't be serious when you give them work to do. We are good at giving excuses, eventually Amaechi had to bring in Julius Berger

there are Nigerians who want to work but d projects are given to u serious people

Another very important thing is that it is better for 10 people to have 10 million naira than 1 person having 10 million naira. Spread the money. Educate your people so they can value good things of life and create jobs in the process. If you are a gardener in the village, you won't get any job.

for easier and better rotation of funds and to reduce nuisance in d streets

It is not natural to read your books when you have The Johnsons to watch. And that is why the government most work very hard to package the educational system well to encourage people.

You are totally right

Even though as a teacher l can't point fingers because l am supposed to change the narrative. The New Century Academy is looking at that already.
