This is my first personal car which would be bought solely by me and I have finally made a decision to go with Lexus RX 350 2008/2009 model.

Presently I am finalising with someone who would import a clean one from the US for me.

Please can anyone give me details on what to look at for in this type of car? Specifications and all. Also can someone explain to me what the "full option" tag I usually hear about this car.

Lastly, is the price tag of approximately 3.5M good for the mentioned car with an odometer of around 50k mileage?

There are lots of 08 - 09 RX 350s already imported. Some may not meet your specifications or requirements, but some definitely would. The 2nd gen RX is not really a rare vehicle, so importing one may not really be practical or necessary at the moment.



The best way to learn about a vehicle is online research. Read reviews by established websites and sources, etc. Look up similar models for sale on such websites to learn about the features and specifications.

"Full option" typically refers to a particular vehicle which has all the available or possible or desirable features and specifications the manufacturer installed for that model. For the RX 350, that includes 4WD, Navigation and reverse cameras, etc.



First, keep in mind that the mileage you may see on the odometers of vehicles for sale may not be genuine and may have been altered. The only reliable way to determine the genuine mileage is to run a VIN check.
The VIN check would also be necessary to rule out other forms of damage the vehicle may have sustained.

That figure may be below the range for a clean title vehicle with that genuine mileage.

Physical inspection of potential candidates above. Naturally, i will say go with mechanic, but that term has been abused so much that anyone with spanner is now a mechanic . research things to look out for and you can do this yourself.
Test drive the car to your satisfaction
Negotiate
Pay

Remember to look under for rust oh
Also, don't let anyone pressure/rush you to make a commitment. only do so when you are completely satisfied. Remember, their only goal is to sell their car for the most profit. and your only goal is the get the best deal. Manage these two objectives well and you will be fine.

Last point, as i always say, sometimes, quality costs more. Take your time

Before sending money to Lagos. Why not pay Gazzuzz some token and let him look around in Lagos if you can’t get your taste then you can import.

50k miles clean title 08/09 rx350 with custom duty, e go hard small oo.
Exchange rate isnt funny. People who are selling now cant even afford to restock because of the crazy auction prices on iaai and copart currently.

Seek a dealer(s) out, go through his stock, pay any of the people here who engage in pre purchase inspection. Nothing beats buying what you can see or can be inspected physically.

If thers is anything that caught your interest about that car, it's either you have heard about one or come in contact with one,

Online reviews sometimes could be misleading if you are not mechanically inclined to understand the terminologies used to describe the features,

Practical approach is the best form in my expert opinion,

The question is, what are your interest, is it beauty & performance & durability? How about cos of fix? Parts availability, whats the common issues with this models?

The one you thought of importing, US is very honest and more caring than Nigeria car owners

So if you are financially fit for this car import including custom clearance fee, my advice is go for it,

But listen Good, you don't have the capability to ask the right question or make the right research about purchasing a used car here or from USA, cos you are not trained to know how to ask or make that right research.
