You are here tonight.....The you know how much it will cost... Same deal that sent Abba out.....Siemens has little to contribute. All we need to do is booster
Abba Kyari went to Germany to negotiate the deal and contracted vivid-19 in the process. He died as a result of covid-19 complications and not the deal.

I don’t know the cost of the project but I am sure it will cost much. Do you expect a project that intends to provide 25,000MW to be cheap? If we don’t spend heavily to build power infrastructure, what should we spending on?

Siemens AG is the largest industrial conglomerate in Europe. How did you come to the conclusion that such a reputable company has little to contribute? Are you aware that this project is backed by the German government?

See, we won’t move forward if we continue to criticize blindly. You don’t understand the deal and you’re already running it down simply because you hate the current president. Hatred for Buhari won’t develop Nigeria and whether you like it or not, he will remain the president till 2023.

It's really important to power 5G agenda.
It's not a white elephant project.

Buhari has failed to meet my expectations in a lot of areas but infrastructure is an exception. With adequate infrastructure, Nigeria is likely to smile in the next decade to come

Do you know GE has been in this country for years?
My personal opinion, this is just pure wastage!

The pre-engineering contract is the start of a longer-term approach. Phase 1 of the PPI will focus on essential and quick-win measures to increase the system’s operational capacity to 7,000 MW and to significantly reduce the ATC&C financial losses.

As part of Phase 1, Siemens will provide general technical training on core competency areas as well as training for employees of Nigeria’s 11 electricity distribution companies, the Transmission Company of Nigeria, and regulators, on all the equipment and software being provided by Siemens.

Phase 2 will target the remaining network bottlenecks to enable full use of existing generation and distribution capacities, bringing the systems operational capacity to 11,000 MW.

Phase 3 will develop the system up to 25,000 MW in the long-term. This includes upgrades and expansions in the generation, transmission, and distribution

Still increase operational to 7000MW, when will have been having audio 10000 MW. So in the agreement we are still at less than 7500MW.

Why is government signing this kind of agreement when it has been sold off?
As for me Siemens should have been given a new outlay as an investor, rather than meddle in the existing arrangement.
Sir it WILL not work, let them start their own afresh.
Many atimes will do things with sentiment and in order clime this is not the norm.
Who will be running the affair, Discos or Siemens, dont you know their will be infractions

This was my comment in 2020.Hope you heard Markel..... When Chimanda asked her....

For now, we may not need foreign companies for our power supply. Wasting millions without find solution to transmission and distribution is a waste of resources.

I mean you're only half right in terms of the refinery there is a lot on ground up to 67% completion rate and in terms of solar energy Nigeria doesn't have the money for it, Nigeria if we had 100% connectivity for electricity we would need 180 000MW of energy and to build enough solar plants to produce that much energy would cost up to 100-130 billion dollars ( Bevause we'd have to import all the equipment as well ) And added to that is the transmission infrastructure which would run the cost up to 200-300 billion dollars or more so for now we should depend on cheap energy solutions like gas or coal and hydroelectric
