If Nigerian political parties love this country, if Nigerians think they have suffered enough and want to get out of this rigmarol, if we want competence and practical solution then we should elect these two men president and vice.

PETER OBI AND AKINWUMI ADESINA 2023.

remember, i didn't say pdp or apc, its not about the party but its about the country. Ipob agitators, arewa agitators and oduduwa protagonists are not welcomed here please.

Only sensible and intelligent posts, thank you.

Your post would have yield a good result if u placed AKINWUNMI ADESHINA ahead of Peter Obi, ADESHINA is by far more credible and trust worthy to lead than Obi, HE WAS MINISTER FOR AGRICULTURE with good records no blemish, he heads a whole Africa DEVELOPMENT BANK and still maintain a clean record, so he is a far better presidential candidate than Peter Obi

Akinwunmi is the more presidential out of the two. He's more cerebral and articulate with international exposure. Peter Obi on the other hand lacks charisma, sounds igbotic with a feminine voice, lacks international exposure, and not that articulate. lipsrsealed

What do you mean he is igbotic? What kind of rubbish statement is that, do you sound European or American? Do Americans sound igbotic?. Get ride of inferiority complex

You promoting Peter Obi and Akinwumi Adesina, why can't you go to your village and win state assembly seat and become visible therefrom to the national level? Are you not ashamed that the same set of politicians have been dominating the space for 20 years?

How long was Obama in politics before winning the US top job? How long was Emmanuel Macron in politics before winning the French Presidency? We admire Peter Obi and Akin Adesina, it is time you come out, get the buy in of your age group and win a seat at the state level.

I understand how you feel but the truth hurts. Ideally, Nigeria needs someone with some polish to represent her on the world stage for a change, not one you will have to strain your ears to understand his speeches and commentary. Na una dey make fun of Buhari's unpalatably heavy accent when conversing or giving speeches in English, yet y'all take offence when Peter Obi's glaringly igbotic accent is pointed out. That is the height of hypocrisy.

Oga rest. This isn't about hatred. The Op is the one that put forward Peter Obi and I appraised his qualities for the job compared to Adesina's. Perhaps I would have given a more favourable appraisal were the person a different personality, say Moghalu for instance. Besides, we all know the combo can never fly since they are both from the south.

But don't get it twisted, this thread has little to do with electability because that is a whole different ball game. You need more than eloquence and charm to be electable in the Nigeria political space. Buhari was voted in due to some peculiar circumstances that worked in his favour at the time of his election into office, not necessarily because he was the best that Nigeria had to offer. Just because you or myself like or prefer Peter Obi doesn't mean he is electable in the Nigerian context. To be electable you need solid political currency, machinery, and across the board acceptability. Such are the variables that determine electability in Nigeria, not necessarily who or what some online fanboys think deserves the seat.

For the mere fact that our brothers in the north are not ready to relinquish their vice-like grip on the leadership of this contraption, i won' be wasting valuable resources arguing about the Op's proposition. It's D.O.A..................Our brothers(?) in the north would rather the whole country morph into somalia than allow such an abomination to occur in their lifetime.

Best thing is to go our separate ways. The way the country is constituted, the north will always have us by the jugular and there's sweet F.A (phock all) we can do about this sad situation except.......................................

If you are mentally balanced, then you will know that an Igbo man and a Yoruba man cannot jointly rule Nigeria. What will Hausa, Fulani, Kanuri, Gwari, Ijaw, Kalabari, Ibiobio and others be doing?

Dumbos from West, only if you know those that press the right keys

Mr Peter Obi and Mary Robinson, Former Ireland President, at United Nations event in New York, December 2019. Mary Robinson chaired the high-level committee that recently cleared AfDB President, Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, of fraud charges.

I totally agree.

Furthermore, with Adesina as Presidential candidate, the VP must come from the North (either NE/NW/NC) for the ticket to fly otherwise its an automatic win for their opponents. Zulum is a good candidate.
