January mamas for supernatural delivery. How's everyone doing? Trust all MS/spitting has gone and we are enjoying our second trimester. Any noticeable bumps yet? Baby kicks/flutters? Anyone started shopping yet? anyone else gotten TT injection shots? Anyone been able to check baby's gender?


I got my TT booster shot at my last doctors visit....I'd almost forgotten how uncomfortable that injection was, the injection spot irritated and itched me for almost 3days afterwards. The gyne did a scan to check baby but refused to tell me the gender even though my LO had legs open. He said the gender is either male or female so he's not bothered ...Im not sure if it was the bum I was seeing or the genitals but I didn't see balls so hopefully God has answered my prayers but I'd confirm at my next scan at or before 20weeks.

Good afternoon mamas, my cousin called me this morning and said she was bleeding (I think she is 21weeks gone). She had scan done and scan revealed that her amniotic fluid is low. Although the bleeding has stopped. She took drip and she has been placed on bed rest.

She is expecting twins. I spoke with her Doctor about having a cervical cerclage. He said he wants to watch her before he will think about that. I asked about progesterone injections because she had miscarriage last year(twins too). He said it is risky considering that she carrying multiple.

Abeg sabi mama, put mouth. If you have had this experience I need to know what to tell her too.

It is too bad that we don't answer roll call... D importance of this roll call is check on everyone of us and know that we are doing good and moving together... On the other hand my energy level is high now ooo I dey rock this pregnancy no be small oo am drinking enough water now but I still eat a little.. If I try to eat big next thing na vomit oo. My bump is showing very well now . Time to take our first TT injection if u have not taken d shot inform ur doctor on ur next appointment.

If you never register for antenatal this is d time to do that so you will be checked and monitored oo we want healthy babies ooo... We need to be taking our drugs regularly no skipping ooo, drink enough water and eat fruits and vegetables for your blood levels oo.

I know some of us are showing already biko enjoy d privileges it is not easy to carry belle

Those with toddlers abeg try and get some rest no matter how d make d house busy all d time ( speaking from experience oo)
Let's drop our EDD and baby gender if u have checked..

progesterone injection is not given to pregnant women with multiples, the option best for her is a cervical cerclage and they should also find out the reason for the bleeding

Urgent: Please oooo, if you have taken garden egg leaf to boost your PCV before, help me out with how to prepare it. I went to the clinic today and was told my PCV is now 28, it was 33 at the last clinic. Really sad about this.

Wash with salt water and chew away OR cook okra soup and add as your veggie. Bring down the pot once you add the leave so as not to lose its nutrients OR squeeze and drink its juice. Don't add water while squeezing.

I passed my due date at 40 weeks and was told I shall be induced if I don't fall into labour by 41 weeks. I stimulated my nipples on the 26th of July after due date and I fell into Labour around 9pm while stimulating.

I couldn't sleep that night because the pain was coming strong. I went to the hospital with DH 5am the next day and the journey started.

I was in labour till about 5pm when I got dilated to 10cm and was taken to the delivery room. Oh my, the labour pains na die.

I was told to push when I get my first contraction. But unfortunately the contractions all of a sudden wasn't strong. I was given a drip to help with my contractions.

I started pushing when contractions came and before you know it my baby was out. They gave me an episiotomy though.

When she was stitching me up, she noticed there were some other minor tears which she said she would stitch up too. She gave me anaesthetics.

When she was done, that was when I heard her saying where is this blood coming from. I looked and what I saw was horror coming down my vagina. Chai, mummies, that was when I knew that I am in for something.

She said she will have to check my cervix and all to detect where the blood is coming from. Omo, you need to see the instruments she brought out to be used on me. I went to heaven and back.

Apparently, my baby was in a posterior position, her face was facing my front which has its disadvantages in vagina delivery. Baby gave me an abrasion coming out which affected some vessels hence the blood. I have never seen that much blood and clot in my life. I remembered my mum. That was how she died of loss of blood during delivery. I started speaking the word.

I was quite strong and alert through it all until I started feeling cold. They eventually stitched my abrasion and controlled the blood and I was taken back to the labour room to go get proper cleanup. On getting there, that was when everywhere started getting dim oh. I could hear my husband and the nurses but everywhere was getting blank out. They tried to quickly put me back on the bed. At this point, I was blanked out but I could hear them. As I lay on the bed, my brain started turning on the light again and I smiled and said I think I am okay. They brought another type of drip to fill me in.

So mummies, help me thank God. Successful child birth is really by the grace of God. I thank God I survived the delivery room and that I have the chance to cuddle my beautiful baby girl.

I really want to say a very big thank you to the Lord for the journey so far.

The journey was smooth, I taught I was going to give birth 37/38 weeks, but no signs I was worried till 40weeks.

On 40weeks the Dr. Said if I don't fall into labor by 41weeks that I will be induce (I was worried my husband and some members in the group encourage me)

On a Friday I and my husband went for scan and discovered the baby was 4.2kg, then Saturday we has to visit the hospital to update them of the latest which they said if its through then I have to go for Elective CS as a first time mum.(The hospital carried out their own scan and discovered it was 4.5kg, so I was booked for elective CS)

The CS was done on 27th July, baby and mother is strong.

We give thanks to God. Wishing other mum safe delivery.

EDD: 18 July
DOB: 27 July.
Baby weight: 4.45Kg.

I had a pretty smooth pregnancy apart from occasionally weakness and tiredness.
Fast forward to 36weeks i increased my walking to help kickstart labour on time..38/39weeks was getting worried that I was yet to fall into labour as I was not a first time mum..met with my doc who asked me to be calm till my due date..due date came and passed yet no sign..finally gave me another week yet no sign...I did scan and my scan was saying post dated..meaning I've passed edd,baby weighing 4.02kg already..I was scared.. quickly gave the result to my doc.she insisted I stay back in the hospital and call my hubby to bring my things.she sent me for virginal examination and membrane sweep.After that they fixed oxytocin drip for me.After a couple of hours labour started...and progressed really fast..I was screaming and calling on God to help me..when my shout became too much..the doc took me to the labour Ward to check again..and confirmed I was fully dilated..pushing started...I pushed and pushed..I was pushing at each contraction yet baby refused to come..I was in so much pain..the nurses were shouting at me to push well as they can see the baby,'s head...one of the nurses helped press my tummy from the up and at the next contraction I pushed with every strength I had left and my baby came out crying..placenta came out too..I was stitched and cleaned up.
I want to thank this great God for seeing me through this journey of 9months..I pray that it will end in praise for every mama here.i also want to appreciate all the Mama's here..it's been an amazing journey with you all.
