the director of that place don use am for their yearly ritual sacrifice to boost his business.
Just watch as how that place will start booming soon

Stop watching Nollywood movies. E get reason

I've worked in that same Henkel company as a casual worker this year. I know they value precaution more than skill.
No matter how valuable your skill may be, you won't be allowed to work unless you adhere strictly to laid down guidelines.

I quit the job simply because ''safety boot''

The Industries at that Oluyole Estate. Lack Safety Officers, no regard for the lives ot Nigerians esp. When you are Black.
I was once offered Job with Sumal (Yale foods) at Yale2 of 40k (including my Transport, feeding, housing) and no Medical care provision and no Pension plan. On top of 12hour (6:00a.m till 7:00p.m) regular Monday to Saturday work. Worst still was when I learnt that I can work Over-Time for 13:00hrs and beyond to get paid extra 97naira/Hour.
I was informed that as a Consolidate Staff. I was not entitled to Pension plan.
I reiterated to them that I had over 7 years experience for this Job role, they told me that was my Offer Price.
I laughed at the Management, and gently turned down the Offer
Summary: They love Cheap labour. And they don't have Safety Departments. They bribe Govt. Instead of doing the right thing.
See my phone contact no. Here. 08064454520. Any time I will say it anywhere.

Industrial accident...that's how I lost my dad 11years ago just because the company refused provide my dad safety suits and was forced to go into a Field filled with pipes of acid to weild even tho he was supposed to be off duty that same day....tho he finished his work only for the acid to burst from another part and all poured on him burning off his clothes and skin...he died 5days later due to internal injuries...
We were only able to get compensation after we threatened to take them to court....

Rest in peace young lad

Am very sure that Henkel is a Chinese company and if its really is, they won't show pity because it is their right to kill Nigerians as they have always done with no government officials to deal with them or they give them bribe to silence them. More so, now that Ameschi has sold Nigeria to them they will be killing politicians.

Branch manager of the so called company are earning more than 3.5M in a month. I couldn't believe it that the manager still have the audacity to slash out of the casual workers daily allowances, From 5K to 1.5k.

It's a really saddening news and it is high time the government take a punitive measure to make sure these manufacturing companies quit the usage of casual workers as slaves, without providing them protective equipment . The company should be sanctioned for their obvious negligence that culminated into the painful demise of this young man.

Rest in peace.
this is a very sad story indeed, but I don't think there is any protective equipment that would have protected a person who fell into a machine. come to think of it, how does a person fall into a machine? is the machine on the floor? it is kind of strange.

I follow many schools page on my Facebook everyday is Rip for student over 2000+ have died due to staying at home accident. Not even the COVID-19 killing them

Since the government refused to open school God almighty in heaven will make open the scam and looting going on right now because of COVID-19
when students are in school death is suspended abi? just type rip and move on. govt should enforce guidelines on safety standards in our factories and hold those factories that flout those guidelines responsible for incidents like this.

My younger brother left the house because he felt he was too old to be living with his parent at 25,he got job with this company Henkel. He looks old overnight after working with them for barely a year.My mom forcefully drag him out because she was afraid of the inevitable. They keep slashing the casual workers salary everyday while the big goons doing absolutely nothing is catching out big.May God deliver this country.Rip to the dead.

I've had my own share of the terrifying experiences too, they were very gory I tell you. Right in front of my eyes while working for a Pharmaceutical company, a colleague lost three of his fingers. He was blamed for 'negligence' and was sacked because he wasn't capable of working anymore.

Yes, they search for faults and blame it on negligence.

And they don't get questioned, you know Indians na. I kid you not, we still continued production after that incident, that very day. See as people they thread carefully to avoid story that touch.

So touching. I have experienced where one machine in such industry rubbished a worker's hand. I vomitted for a whole day, Crazily enough, the industry calls it negligence and nothing can you do about it.
This same thing happens to me but the company dare not take any crazy steps, although what I lost can't be gotten back but my family dragged the company enough
My treatment almost 1.5m was taken care of by the company and I was even compensated after all that.
