Nolia please I'll like to find out somethings from you.
I'm having difficulties getting my original waec certificate. I want to know if the computer printout will do. Or i should just swear to an affidavit instead. Kindly reply please

I think the computer print out is fine, the main thing is to confirm you went to sec school and if they want to verify it, the lawyer would do that, that is what your 150k is for. I didn't go with a primary school certificate, what I had was a to whom it may concern letter from the school, so if they want to verify they will go to the school.

Hello guys , for the family reunion visa people , did the embassy collect all your original documents and keep with them? I know for work visa they collected all mine but that didnt take more than 1 month . 1 understand family reunion process can take up to 3-6months for Nigerians . Does it mean all the originals will be with them during this period? Please help me clarify

They collected all of mine, Except for my driver license and international passport. I don’t know when they will send them back to me.

Has anyone traveled to Germany since February?
Re: General German Work And Family Re-union Visa Enquiries by Irunma(f): 10:41am On Jul 28, 2020
Hi NLs,
What should I fill when asked: "intended date of travel" on my Visa Application form
(having in mind that the Nigerian Airspace has not opened yet to international flights) should i just write any date? or ?

It’s advisable to say unknown, however no one knows when the visa application review will be completed, it’s also expected that the applicant don’t know if he or she would want to stay less than 24 months in Germany.

No contact has been made yet. Not to me nor my spouse. I have no idea when contacts will be made.

I can say that this mistake will not affect your interview next month because you will still be able to submit your application. However, I will advise that you get in touch quickly with people at the Immigration Office to know the process and duration of rectifying the mistake on the passport. This is because the disparity between the States on both documents will eventually be pointed out during application review / document verification. At that time, the consulate will ask that you align the discrepancy, most likely, by providing another passport stating Ogun which will appear to them as the correct information

I think the embassy will request for submission of another passport after the interview.

Which month did you apply last year?

If after making the correction they won't change the passport number then make the correction before the interview, but if you would be given a new passport with different number from the one you used to book appointment date then you would have to explain during the interview and submit a new one after....... My suggestion tho

Is the appointment for you or your son? If it's for you, you really don't have to worry about changing your son's passport before the interview (provided he's a minor). Your appointment will cover both of you.

If the appointment is for your son and if correcting his passport will change his passport number, I'd advise that you go for the appointment with the current one and then correct the mistake afterwards.

Please note that if your passport is reissued for any reason, the number changes, since the embassy always take a copy of your passport, I suggest you start necessary step in making corrections, and also mention it during your interview.
Good luck to you

From a post I saw earlier on this thread, they say the passport number will change.

Since the appointment is for your wife and son, I will advise that you get the passport changed before you submit your son's application, to avoid back and forth.

Even if the new one is not ready before the appointment, let your wife submit hers and mention to them at the embassy the situation with your son. When the passport is ready, you just need to send an email to the consulate to give your son an appointment, attaching his mum's evidence of submission (application fee receipts and co). This was my similar experience, only that my daughter didn't have a passport at all when my wife went for her interview. Now my daughter has a passport and also has her own appoinment for next week

Hello please can i apply for Family Reunion to join my husband that is studying.
Re: General German Work And Family Re-union Visa Enquiries by amygal01: 5:09pm On Jul 31, 2020
Good Day my People,

Please i need clarification on some issues. My husband has been in Germany for some years for his Masters degree program. He went to Germany for his Masters before we did our court marriage in 2018. I have written A1, with the hope that i can join him with our Son. The problem i have now is that:

1) I just read online that i must have been married to my husband before he got the student visa to apply for the family reunion(Please how true is this?)

2) My husband is currently not working but i can show money to cover my stay there, but i do not know how much would be required for me to show.(Please how much minimum can i show?)

3) My husband is in a student accomodation there. Would he have to get an accomodation that would be large enough for Him, Myself and our Son before i go for my interview? Or the money i would be required to show would cover the accomodation wahala.

4) Is there any hope of been considered for family reunion?/Has anyone whose spouse is a student there successful joined the husband/wife ? ( Please i dont want to waste money to apply if my chances are slim).

I have booked an appointment for the family reunion October last year, but if it is not possible for me to go through the family reunion route, i can always cancel the appointment based on your advice.

Please kindly assist with answers to my worries

Thank you
