I did better than Osoba, Daniel combined, Amosun boasts I agree with him If you disagree, kindly prove him wrong with facts, not lying propaganda because I have facts and pictures. |

NGpatriot: I'm aware that you have to defend your pay.... But while doing so, apply wisdom... That my Oga did this doesn't mean he's entirely right. The bridges at Ibara, Iyana Mortuary, uncompleted at Ijebu-igbo, Elega are all meaningless.... The combined traffic on those routes is less than that of V.I. Well constructed wide roads will do... Go to Ifo, Agbara, Yewa, Ijebu and tell them your boss was a performer, I doubt you will get home with your limbs intact... Less I forget, 70% of the roads and bridges constructed were federal roads which he was reimbursed for. So in essence, we should ask where the IGR and monthly allocations truly went. 1 Like |

NGpatriot: Wether the OP is an agent of the current Government and engaging in propaganda is another kettle of fish entirely. What is however obvious is that the 20 Model Schools project Amosun embarked upon were needless, misdirected and a complete waste of public fund. Most painfully, they were arrogantly done against public opinion. At best 3 Model Schools ( one per each senatorial district) should suffices. How can anyone claim to have spent #20billion on building these schools, when the public schools in the state are in parlous state. Such fund should have been used to increase the capacity of the current schools and raise the bars. That was the general opinion of the people back then but he wouldn't have none of those. Before he left, not up to three of the schools were running. In a sane clime, he should be answering for that mindless wastage of people's patrimony left in his care. 2 Likes |

ntyce: And I'm very much aware that they pay you to lie, discredit and peddle propaganda. You are free to list whatever you want and twist however you want, fact remains that Amosun regardless of uncompleted projects he embarked, he remains the most productive and high achieving governor in the history of Ogun state, fats also remains that he delivered more more projects than all the governors before him and the current governors combined. Uncompleted projects are for the incoming governors to pick up and complete so you really are not making any sense. |

LibertyRep: Amosun built the schools, it's up to the current governor to use the schools and complete the uncompleted ones. Governance is continuum. Case closed. |

Born2conquer: I'm not even a fan of Amosun, but to broadly say he did nothing but abandoned project or insinuate that he stole just doesn't match realities on the ground because it's on record that he delivered more and better projects than all the governors before him combined. This is what I have about many of these lazy and incompetent governors, your predecessor can not complete everything, it is up to you to continue, this is what governance is all about, even you yourself are going to leave behind uncompleted projects. |

Born2conquer: I'm no supporter of the current govt as well. If he truly wants to discredit Amosun, he should probe and punish those responsible for the waste and corruption. But all Dapo do is to talk and look the other way.... Why was the building converted to a tech hub? How many of such schools are fit to accommodate students.. Even before Amosun left office, he had converted 2 or 3 for other uses. That shows the faulty plan he had... Why build schools with billions and hand them over to other organizations? |
Re: Amosun’s N27.3 Billion Abandoned Model School Project by Born2conquer: 4:16pm On Aug 01, 2020 |
OkikiOluwa1:Nigeria will be better but we need to start giving enough credit to the functioning governors so that others would be eager to work more. You mentioned the Road he’s yet to do but failed to list the Roads He completed. What about the model school Dapo converted to Tech hub? Amosun did his part what is stopping DAPO from completing what Amosun started? |

NGpatriot: At what cost? No intellectual being will praise Amosun for what he did cos it was sheer waste of resources.... Let me also include the 12 storey building at Ibara he forcefully sold to Opic... Yet you try to defend such... I'm no employee of any govt but the truth must always be told... 1 Like |

NGpatriot: Before we blame the one who inherited the mess, why not chastise the person who birthed the problem. He wasted fund on needless white elephant projects. It was purely an ego trip largely designed to benefit his cronies. Yeah. Governance is continum and that's why the current Government has converted some of the schools to other uses. TechHub along Kobape and I think one Isolation center somewhere in Ijebu axis. If about 15 out of 20 schools were completed and running before he left, then the current government would be forced by public outcry to complete them. If not for the paddy paddy government we run, that man should be answering for that wastage. 1 Like |

Simplyleo:Next time don’t put your mouth in a matter you don’t know jack about ..... So a project that involved 26 schools in all the 20 LGAs didn’t cost more than 50 million..... If you know how massive that structure alone is you won’t say it’s worth 5 million except the fear of God dey far from you.... We warned that Irokunle onifila gogoro of a man back then in 2012 that he shouldn’t embark on this white elephant project and instead use the money to repair the existing schools but no he wanted a day waterman-esque school which was far from feasible 1 Like

Amosun, despite his shortcomings, is still the best governor, Ogun state has ever had. What I've learnt about those who criticise him, is that, there's always a personal vendetta undertone. For most of us the neutrals, he was great, especially when you know where Ogun State was coming from. |

NGpatriot:See ennhhh. ...May God bless you for these pictures. I don't know where the OP got that picture from. Am not Into Ogun state politics howbeit I live and work around Ita-Oshin area of Ogun state. Between Neuropsychiatric Hospital Ita-Oshin and Wasinnmi Market area along Lagos Abeokut express road alone , there are 2 different functioning model schools in that area. Two of my friend works there as N-power Teachers. so I don't know the kind of cheap weed that the OP took before coming up with this propaganda. |

But there's no reason while his successor shouldn't continue from where he stopped especially if budget allocated for the project has been well managed in the last administration. |
