Even small churches will have a hard time maintaining social distancing rules while keeping 50 people in.

Mecca went from a capacity of 2 million to just 1000 after applying social distancing rules.
you are very right though.... Let's just obey the social distancing rules....

Glory to God. Thanks be to God, for God's generals like Bishop David Oyedepo, who almost was alone ranger over the closure of church centers for worship.
I'm not his member, nor a pastor under him, but I respect his courage and the heart of champion that he had, even when other so called men of God, could not speak out.
Those who prefer virtual worship, can still continue, while their worship center is closed, till the Covid 19 subsides.

Alone in what? You actually came online to lie in the name of Oyedepo?

Do you think God rewards you, or something, when you lie on behalf of a man? undecided

Honestly, if there's no limit for the crowd in our market places, then I see no need for placing a limit of 50 people in worship centres. Instead they should allow these centres accommodate up to 50-60% of their capacity.

Don't these guys see the level of disorder in our market places?
In fact, people are more likely to adhere to safety precautions in mosques and churches.
Confused government

Pastor Oyedepo joined the campaign against closing down churches when markets were released but Pastor Chris was totally against the closer of churches from the day one of this lockdown saga

You are right my brother. I forgot that. Kudos to him also. For the proponents church closure, I wonder where they will hide their faces now.

Your reasoning ability is very low, a state government to open airport for international flight. Who knows if you have an international passport self?

Fvck that shit big time.
God is essential, so churches and mosque is very much essential.

No law should be given to a true place of worship.
But sorry to tell you, God Almighty which created Jehovah and Allah does not place any significance on churches and mosques, but rather on science laboratories and research centres. Churches and mosques are no better than entertainment centres.

Limited to 50 people..... multiple services can be held.... but only on one day..... Fridays for Muslims.... Sundays for Christians.

Let me chew on this.

Limited to 50 people. So the guy with the stadium like church .... 50 people..... and the noise maker next door in house turn church .... 50 people. Same with the masjid.

Fridays for Muslims ... Sundays for Christians. What about the "Sabbath/Saturday worshippers?

....and if multiple services can be held on one day... why can't services be held on other days? If numbers are limited in places of worship why aren't numbers limited in other places... such as markets?
Can someone who supports this directive please explain?

After all the ranting, it is obvious you dont read and you are an epitome of the proverbial black man who miss out of information because it has been hidden in a book.

There is a sharp contrast between 50% capacity and 50 people. Listen /read before ranting and passing the wrong info further.. He also addressed sabath day church concern.

Come on! You suck!!!!!

Mr non proverbial reading black man.... below is the quote from the information provided regarding capacity.

"The governor announced that the gatherings should not exceed 50 persons from the previously announced 20 people limit per social gathering. "

There is a sharp contrast between reading and reading and understanding.

Abeg.... quote where he addressed Sabbath Day concerns. Feel free to pretend you didn't read this.

This reopening is a bit of a joke since services are limited to 50 people, but I think this requirement makes the services potentially safe if they keep records of the people that attended each service and follow other precautions safely. It might not be a complete disaster.

The churches are free to have 10 services if they want. It doesn't matter
