Not like that.
Esport is like those days when we dey go Bro Stephen house to play PlayStation 2 .....winning Eleven.
Just that now, the whole package has evolved, and you can actually be a regular player and be earning big bucks like an office secretary....you then go on and be a professional.
As for me I am too old for this kind of stuff.
Its for 15years -25 years.
Those days if Police officer catch you for Game centre, na your parent go come bail you.

Its a welcome development for that above age bracket....most especially when it comes to FIFA........just that I hope it won't derail those kids.

Bmaster:
e-sports...?
Sounds somehow like that one in bet houses.
They play e-sports,Simulated reality league, zoom soccer and so on ...
Nawa o o

It was ooo!
Yet we see police officers chasing children away from Game centres.
Those days of Sega Mega Drive 2.
Now it has evolved. PC, Design of Shirt and jersey, Team Logo, Team Training, Team Financing, how to generate income for your team Etc.
But no because of Esport go game centre ooo, if Police officer catch u heeen!

mansakhalifa:

Wow! shocked

Nigeria has an E-sport federation

Didn't know the game is that organised in Nigeria. sad

Feeling so ignorant right now.

Look at all the top streamers, they're well above the age bracket that you claim. Also, esports isn't only about gamers, there are other non-gaming jobs in that area - managers, agents, PR, journalists, announcers, coaches etc. It's a multi-billion dollar industry, hence why the usual suspects are already trying to get their hands on this scene in its infancy. They keep looking at the money and aren't really growing the talent or how to improve our rubbish infrastructure (power and internet).

The Barca President confirmed that they do not have the financial strength at the moment to sign top priority Neymar, as well as Inter striker Lautaro Martinez, claiming it might take as much as six years of economic strain if they go through with those deals.

Prior to the Coronavirus Pandemic, Barcelona had looked ready to make a major move for Lautaro Martinez. However, those dreams are very well beyond their reach now.

Yes your are right!
But it starts from the gamers!
If we don't have the people resources to build this multi.million company then, it won't thrive here in Nigeria.
People resources and gamers who are very skilled.
The announcers, managers.....etc are just after that.
F2 tekz.....I have forgotten his name is a kid who is a pro Fifa Player probably 21-22 years or even younger... He is so skilled....do we have that kind of a player in Nigeria.?
With this development, the government should allow entertainment centres to thrive e.g Game Centres, Recreation centres....etc
We don't have those here anymore......those days when a certain police officer will come and harass you at a Game centre........etc
I am talking about the gamers point of view here.
