DICKstractor:
What if it's a very known and wanted kingpin who decides to surrender and ask for forgiveness. Do you expect the government to do "forgive and forget"?

If so, nobody is suppose to be in prison or sentenced to death as far as he/she pleads for forgiveness
I get your point. But here's the deal.
Boko Haram sect are not kingpins.
They're deadly and seen among the worst in the world.
Americans don't negotiate with terrorist, that's perhaps because they have what it takes to defeat them.

But Nigeria... For how long have we been fighting this Boko guys?
How come despite the fights, they're still out there.

You kill one today.. tomorrow they abduct like 20 children from a remote village, train them to kill, poison their minds to the point where they forget who they're.

I don't support Buhari led Government that much, I'm not even a Politics kind of guy. But believe me, this is perhaps the best strategy the government can use to stop this guys.

Why?
Because.. it makes the members see the possibility of a life outside Boko Haram.
If you kill this repentant Boko Haram members, you leave the active members no choice but to fight to death.

Meanwhile, granting pardon to them is a bait, to make others surrender and repent too.

Why do you think the Government is even publicising all this repentant boko haram stuffs. Showing every bit of their progress, publishing even their names?

It's more like telling the active members that there's a chance to Live free!

Of course the Government is aware of the risk and will definitely place an eye on them.

You see.. because people don't understand this thingsz they'll always rant and complain about everything.
Wasting their efforts on things they can do nothing about.

My condolence goes to the soldiers who are struggling for survival in the battle field while the enemies they captured are been given first class treatment and they are left to their own gods

They enjoyed their stay in the camp when their victims are suffering in their makeshift tents undecided
Nigerians are a patient bunch...we just take it anyhow they dish it angry
Nigerians are truely patient bunch... We have bcome docile, inactive, unmotivated. Maybe due to long military dictatorship. Ignorant of our rights in a democracy. In a saner clime, the masses will flood the street in protest, but not in Nigeria. Some in prison pleaded guilty but were still sentenced. But BH terrorists who have lost count of how many they killed were granted amnesty at a flip, and were rehabillated for months with choiced food/drinks and skill acquisition, while their victims are suffering in makeshift tents as widows, orphance, ... What a country?. Has Osibanjo lost his senses?, dosen't a VP have a say again? Should we dwell in sin for grace to abound? What happens to the law abiding citizens? Nonsense and buhari!

There's nothing like a Repentant Boko Haram fighter!
Terrorists don't repent! A repentant terrorist is a dead terrorist.
Just imagine!
The Victims are there still suffering in IDP Camps all over the place, their family members killed and their life made miserable yet this one will go back to the same town where he murdered people and be falunting all sorts of "good living".... and we say others too should not be encouraged to join Boko Haram?

It appears that Buhari is the chief sponsor of Boko Haram, just as he is the Grand Patron of Terrorists Fulani Herdsmen that he even gave a new name (Bandits). Until we get rid of the Evil Jihadist in Aso Rock, Nigeria is not likely to know any peace.
Just look at how Christians are being slaughtered everyday in Southern Kaduna, under the watch and directive of that midget and evil Hell Rufai!

At the appropriate time, those who kill others in order to live, will have death awaiting them as sentinel at the point of their success, if not on them then on their generation. God cannot be mocked

It shall not be well with Buhari. This man is mad sha a coffin should be suitable for them and 6 feet under d ground should be ideal. How on earth should there be given second chances when they have liked many and rendered millions homeless. Like seriously how huh

Bullshyte!

No reward for criminals.

Throw the mothrfckrs in a lion cage, in a python cage, in a leopard cage, in a alligator cage. Make a fvkng bokoharam endure the beast in its own territory. Send the recording of his painful ending to the sect to watch and learn this is what we do here. Watch and see how fast the kafirs defect and surrender.

This government is clueless. No wonder soldiers are resigning. How can you claim to rehabilitate men who have killed your people, soldiers and civilians, destroyed properties worth millions...... It seems the value of Nigerian lives don't matter and murderers are rewarded........what a shame.

Bubu has always been an advocate for amnesty for boko, he fought for this and that would be his greatest satisfaction.

Unfortunately, its still bizarre why they keep on killing. Perhaps he should be open on what he promised his followers , after the victory its settlement. Don't delay, a bargain is a bargain.

The irony called Nigeria.

They treat murderous Boko boys like peaceful protesters but treat peaceful IPOB like armed terrorists. Once arrested, IPOB members are sent to languish in jail but arrested Boko boys are sent to camps and treated to sumptuous meals.

The next group that rises will take the armed struggle to the max.

Well at least; he came out to say he killed so many people.

If only you know what most people you meet on the street, road, market, office even your neighbourhood have done in the past, you would have collapsed.

The day you engage someone in talking and the person mistakingly reveals their past to you. You will know that dog dey chop shit but the one wey chop com leave am for e mouth, na that one dem go call shit eater.

Bottomline: Most people have done despicable things in this world to their fellow humanbeings that you know nothing about.
But our joy is GOD is recording all.
