He has said nothing. Federal appointment solely lies with the president. If the elites are fronting a particular judge or justice with a sketchy record/background, can't the president reject him if he truly doesn't want him? The VP is only trying to shift the incompetence of the president in making sound decisions in terms of appointment, to the elites.
