The Igbos are not actually interested in anything including Cessesion to Biaafra, they are mostly propelled by a spirit of Hatred and Anger towards Yorubas and if you look keenly at their political posturings, you will observe that it is principally driven natively by REVENGE towrads Yorubas, never mind that Yorubas have not done anything bad towards them and have been the most accomodating to them among all Nigerian tribes and regions.

Like you observed, the position of Ibos is that "instead of a Yoruba to become President in 2023, they would rather line-up behind a Fulani again.
Small time, you will hear them gnashing their teeth and saying Fulani have started killing them again.

Unfortunately, they dont realise that 'who do man, do imself', Yorubas will always have the Presidency with the support of the North (just like Yorubas supported the North between 2015 and 2023) but the North will never support an Ibo presidency till Jesus comes simply because they know that Ibos cannot be trusted with Power, from yheir experience in the mid 1960's....... unless th Yorubas can stand as "guarrantor" for the Ibos, to the North.
