They made an allegation which was obviously false since he never granted such an interview.

Sometimes some news outlets especially in Nigeria deserve such thunder actually, it's just that it shouldn't have come from someone of his calibre but whichever way he'd appologised, they should manage the thunder like that and allow him concentrating on his new assignment.
