Before you graduate, start networking with experienced professionals in your field, i cant emphasize this enough, ask questions and dont get tired of doing so, information is power in Canada and a person who doesn't seek for it will be left in the dark. As his father, should I position myself as the primary sponsor while his his aunt in Canada be the secondary sponsors?

One year tuition and living expenses for him, his accompanying mother and younger brother (8 yrs old) is #10.5m (tuition 5.4m + expenses 5.1m), and all my savings till date is #6m. With this savings of mine, am I in best position to be the primary sponsor or his aunt (a Canadian citizen) whose savings is probably bigger than mine should be the primary sponsor while I serve as the co-sponsor? Between the annual tuition fees of 5.4m naira and living expenses of 5.1m naira: which one should I choose and write sponsorship letter for and which one should the aunt choose and write a sponsorship letter for? What are the implications if I choose to sponsor the living expenses as against tuition fees? What would the VO suspects if the aunt says she is only sponsoring the living expenses of my student son, his mother and his younger brother?

Please note, this Canadian relative is my wife's aunt (i.e. younger sister to my wife's mother). She lives and works in Quebec with her own immediate family. Your son is highly dependent on you at this stage. I suggest you explain this in your LOE.

I suggest you apply for you and your son first. Then afterwards, for your husband.

You can still apply as a family though. If you have the funds and other strong home ties.

Biometric centers are closed as u mentioned, wait till they are opened and go for your Biometrics, meanwhile your application will be processed base on the new IRCC 2 stages process. AIP is the first, hopefully in 2 weeks or less you should know if you pass the first stage. all the best.

Hello beckley, it's not an issue. You just need to sworn an affidavit from law court for the mistake in the spelling of your name, that would solve that issue, since you are in Dubai any of your relative can do that you will only need to send to them the scanned original copies via their email addresses so that they can print them out and also show the original soft copy on phone to the person to administer the affidavit in case of any confirmation of your documents, I believe that could help, all the best!

Have u been refused entry, deported before from a foreign country or had any issues both international and local, which your biometrics and police report may bring into light?

If no, that means you are good,
Also if your health is Ok, no tuberculosis , or anything serious that you spend so much on drugs for?

Answer these questions and also confirm that your proof of funds will still be intact and sufficient incase they revisit it.

If you are positive on the above, then I believe you should take the risk and register, as you have an excellent 90percent chance of getting final approval

I personally don't see why you can't go for it. You have some funding (which should normally be enough to take care of tuition). You have an AIP and your profile is very strong! It's a risk that will pay off if you ask me. Howevver, the choice is ultimately yours. No one knows your situation better than yourself.

1)I Doubt the Availability of M.SC for Winter Intakes, Masters intakes are mostly slated for September,
but
with this COVID-19 Pandemic altering Calendars of some schools, they might be some readjustment who never can tell,
a mail (as regards this) to the international Dept. of a school should be able to clarify that.

2)Yes its Ok,
but most time it ain't always about CGPA, due to the competitive nature of M.SC, an Applicant might would need to stand out and craft his/her m.sc application well, most esp. if its a thesis-based masters that requires a Supervisor.

This is my fear (annual income cannot sustain subsequent tuition), hence I am thinking of using my wife's aunt as a cosponsor to draft a letter of sponsorship stating that she has committed to take up the tuition till the end of my son's program. Do you think this approach can convince the VO and sufficiently answer the question around my insufficient fund status? What do you advise as a wayout in this situation of mine? Please, help a brother.
