The truth with corruption in this country is that when you are outside the system you stand against it and deride it but when you enter the system, you find a way to justify it and just incorporate yourself in the flow....the best thing is not to join the system at all because if you join the system then you MUST join the flow 29 Likes 1 Share |

People complain about the government not Because they really care, but because they don't get a share in the "National Cake" When you're in the system, you can't beat the corrupt practices. You just have to join them. WE ARE OUR OWN PROBLEM 6 Likes 1 Share |

Interesting. Spilling the beans. There's 1001 ways bosses make extra bar in government. Some positions are more lucrative than others. You block a pipe, they find another opening. Unfortunately , the system is rigged . You have to play ball or get axed fast. Most times the DGs/CEOs have to play ball with the superving minister, Senators/members etc. You also have to play ball with your downlines or they sabotage you. I once overhead a discussion of a senior staff in an agency telling someone, actually swearing that if the DGs position in his agency was up for sale he would buy it for #1 billion. That even if he doesn't have the funds , he would source it. Can you imagine. There's money in Govt, corruption and accountability is the problem. 4 Likes |

Laboni: revenue generating agencies are not civil servants, rather they are public servants. Theres a difference. Public servants get paid in line with whats obtainable in the industry and also the amount of money they generate. Civil servants are strictly at the mercy of government 12 Likes |

allthingsgood: The OP is correct, it's 90k plus net salary. He worked with a Federal government agency and not a ministry. Some ministry even earn big than that 50th you mentioned as a level 8 officer. |
