in 2015 Osimhen was awarded the golden boot for his exploits at the U17 world cup that is also an outstanding accolade for a young player. so really there wasn't much of a difference between the 2 both excelled at youth football. if Solanke had been tearing it up club wise then I would have agreed with your assertion.

it's not about dominic going to france he could still have done well in the EPL. At Liverpool he was given a fair run. Bournemouth should have been the platform to get his career going. small club, less pressure, good attacking style but he still struggled. look at Nathan Ake for instance could not quite nail down a spot at Chelsea, joined the cherries did well now he's back to big time football with man city.

yes only time will tell if he can replicate that form in Seria A but i'm optimistic he will be able to do so because he has shown a good grown trajectory these 2 past seasons from Belgium to France now Italy let's just see how he does.
Agreed without reservation.

I am anonymous here so l can say that Dominic was not Impressive in training l watched him several times. He was marketed beyond his ability and Bournemouth took the bait and swallowed it.

Even his coaches did not rate him that much.

Maybe he had it too easy, these boys at age 16 some are already on £6/7k a week. They loose the hunger and drive. And everything is on a plate.

God bless you for this. how can you be hyper critical of a kid going to Europe for the first time. un top of that suffered a very bad injury that took time to heal but gloating that he was a championship level player without even watching him play.

honestly if Victor was reading comments here on nairaland during that period the poor boy would have quit football out of frustration and depression.

Koboko99:
He arrived Wolfsburg in January, 2017 with an injury. From that time till May, 2018 he had four surgeries. ( Three on his kneel and one on his shoulder). Take notes he had a torn meniscus surgery which takes 3-6 months to fully recover from.

Was he supposed to play from the hospital bed?

Or you want to completely ignored the fact that it will take a while to get back to full fitness after each of those surgeries.

We all know most players feature for their reserve team when recovering from injury. So he wasn't shipped to the reserves like you claimed

He had serious injury and adaptation issue till he left in August, 2018. Not because he was poor as a footballer. He even failed trials at Zulte Waregem and Club Brugge because he had malaria.

How many kids leave Africa at 17 to Europe and walk straight into the first team of a top 5 league team?

Hear what Victor Osimhen said about his spell in Wolfsburg

"The weather, the language, the food [affected me]. It was my first time in Europe, I was just 18-years-old, and I didn’t have enough time to acclimatize. They didn’t believe in me very much,” he told Sport1.

Everything you say is true, if l am honest it's close to a miracle to recover from that knee Injury and then still have the same speed. He is indeed blessed.

I had a ACL surgery rebuild after a very similar football injury myself. That was ten years ago and ayew months. And it was a huge struggle. I don't play any competitive football anymore.

The only difference we have is you consider the injuries, l consider the end result. Not the circumstances that led to the situation.
This is why leagues like belgium sweden, latvia are good for african youngsters. They can then move to better leagues from there. These small leagues are patient with them and give them the time to learn from their mistakes develop and acclamatize

Lol Komekn, you were a professional footballer before? I no know ooo

Which club you play for?
No I was not.

I played as a youth for my county team in England and had some other stints in football. But professional a big NO NO.

But an involvement with football in the UK a big YES yes.

Bros, I am not here to rubbish Osimhen but to state facts.

Osimhen came to Wolburg in 2016/2017 season and he had injury throughout that season but he recovered earlier enough for the 2017/2018 season and even made the bench.

He was available for 24 matches in 2017/2018 before he sustained another injury.

Can you explain how he had serious injury throughout his whole career in the Bundesliga?

Oga at least I said something that Lampard did better na but you guys should just name a thing Iniesta is better at than Lampard, you can’t mention one

I have said it someone like you would say Valdes is a better goalkeeper then Cech because Valdes played for Barca and have more trophy cabinet
Why u dey shift goalpost oga? Wetin concern Valdes and Cech for this matter?
Now to your question Passes, through balls, dribbling, ball recovery and retention, in fact as far as all midfield aspects are concerned,Iniesta better pass. Also, you are using goals and assists to judge between a player playing all his game as an AM/SS and a player playing as a CM. .na wa for you o

Just in case it hasn't been mentioned, Blessing Eleke signed with Newly promoted Belgian Jupiler League clubside, KFCO Beershot yesterday. He joined from Swiss side, FC Luzern where he was their top scorer for the past two seasons.

It's a three years deal and he will dorn the #19 shirt.

Below is a link to the special welcome video they did for him...

Following your own proposition, Rangers squad is even worse because they do not have a single player as expensive as Omeruo. Abi who is their most expensive player?

This now backs my claim that Rangers is just as good as Spanish third tier teams
Mikel arteta cost rangers 6 million pounds in the year 2002 so i think they should be more expensive players now
