i was waiting for you to bring this since yesterday what took you so long?

he was injured for much of 2017 apart from youth football what did solanke do in 2017?

forgiveness:
So there wasn't much difference for a 18 years old Solanke who scored 7 goals in the Eredivisie in 2016, won Golden boat in 2017 U20 world cup and played for Liverpool in the EPL 2017? grin

What did Osimhen do in 2017? undecided

Okwaraji † collapsed ten minutes from the end of a
1990 World Cup qualifier against Angola in Lagos .

He died from possible complications of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy as an autopsy showed that the 25-year-old had an enlarged heart and high blood pressure.

Bros, I am not here to rubbish Osimhen but to state facts.

Osimhen came to Wolburg in 2016/2017 season and he had injury throughout that season but he recovered earlier enough for the 2017/2018 season and even made the bench.

He was available for 24 matches in 2017/2018 before he sustained another injury.

Can you explain how he had serious injury throughout his whole career in the Bundesliga?
According to your screenshots he was injured for 306 days....that's about 11 months.

He was on the bench and played a few games when he was fit. But he didn't fully recover and was always off and on. Or you think a half fit player cannot make the bench?

Moreover he had Mario Gomez Origi and Mehmedi ahead of him in the team.

What were you expecting? Him waking into the first team and leading them to the league title or scoring 30 goals?

He was a 17 years old first timer in Europe coping with injuries and adaptation. And his team wasn't patient with him.

Was there difference between Solanke that scored 7 goals in the Eredivisie, won 2017U20 golden Ball, was among the highest goalscorer in the same 2017 U20 wc, played in EPL and Osimhen who was on the bench in the Bundesliga? grin

Of course, that is his function since he is an AM. Using goals and assists to rate him higher than Iniesta is not so valid since they don't play the same role.

God bless you for this. how can you be hyper critical of a kid going to Europe for the first time. un top of that suffered a very bad injury that took time to heal but gloating that he was a championship level player without even watching him play.

honestly if Victor was reading comments here on nairaland during that period the poor boy would have quit football out of frustration and depression.
Some people are too quick to make conclusions on the careers of home grown players in Europe and they'll come here to tell us the theory of here and now forgetting there are so many factors involved.

You don't expect a youngster coming to different environment for the first time with someone that was born there. Allow them to adapt and then compare.

I know a friend that went left Nigeria to live and school with his uncle in USA at a very young age. He struggled with the food, weather, bullying, missing his parents and the standard of education. But once he settled in he was the best student and got a scholarship.

Sometimes we have to give them time to fully adapt and blossom. Rome wasn't built in a day.......

When was he injured, throughout 2016/2017 season or throughout 2017/2018 season?

If he wasn't fit, why did he make the bench in the first match of 2017/2018 season and played for 6 minutes on the August 2017?

Former Golden Eaglets skipper Samson Tijani will be spending the entirety of the 2020-2021 season on loan at Austrian Bundesliga outfit TSV Hartberg.

The defensive midfielder inked a five-year contract with Red Bull Salzburg shortly after celebrating his 18th birthday and will continue his development at TSV Hartberg.
