What actually made him a legend, dribbling Oliver Can with six other players, is that what makes one a legend? Cos I think that's the only achievement he had.

LOL being a captain doesn't make you a legend. You can only be called a legend for achieving something for either your club or your country. Coutinho was once a captain of Liverpool that doesn't make him a legend.

Wow! Jay Jay Okocha is such an humble person. Infact, i can say he's the true definition of humility. I've met him once at Access/Lagos Marathon 2020 @ Eko atlantic. Though he still looks younger than the said age.

I remember this man Austin "Jay-Jay" Nwabunike Okocha. I so much admired his football prowess. We all grew up in Enugu town.

I'm not sure of his exact birth date but being 47years old today little or nothing might have been taken out of his actual age because in 1991 when I was in JSS1 at National Grammar School (Nike Boys), Abakpa Nike, Enugu Okocha was in SS3 in same school then. Their set passed out same year. So considering I'm in my early 40s, his being 47years may not be far from the truth. It was also around that time that he first traveled to Minnesota USA for a football tournament.

Happy Birthday to him! May he live long and live well.

You are wrong about this. I am 49, in year 1994 while serving as a corper in Edo State University in Ekpoma, I met a male student who claimed to be classmate of Okocha. We had a discussion about his age and that confirmed to me that Okocha is right about his age. Obviously that student who claimed to be his former classmate was below my own age because I was a corper at the university then. Okocha just came on the scene then in 1994 and participated in the world cup held in USA in June of that year. I started my service year around May/June of that year. Not every players lie about their age. The only player I know for sure that lied is Sunday Oliseh. He was my senior at Methodist Boys High School in Lagos where he came to do A-levels. When I was in form-4 he was in Lower-6, which was the first year of A-Level. He was actually a prefect.
