His words reminded me of a close friend and also a student of mine years back . Shes an accountant for a medium bank in Lagos . Shes one of their managers and she felt she needed to learn sewing , so she can open her own fashion school and outfit . during her time with me ,she always complain about one of her colleagues eyeing her post and also giving her attitude and issues at work .
Sometimes , she will fall I'll and nothing will be found in her system. She travels every weekend to see her family Alfa , cos she's a Muslim.
Her hardworking , down to earth vibrant young lady.

I always caution her , look if u ate having enemies at work cos of your position please leave the bank . At least youv worked for some years and have saved considerable amount of money . How long will you always travel home to wash your head and God knows what.
Assuming u are christian I would have taken u to a pastor I know .

She said weakly don't worry ma , I will be fine .and moreover d Alfa is my Father's alpha for many years . Hes helping me spiritually.
In the next 4 months ,that's end of the year I wil resign and focus on establishing my own fashion outfit . so don't worry I will soon leave the job.

Sighs I looked at this lady with grave concern .


Two months when she was about to graduate , she bought 6machines and two industrial machines from me , getting ready to gradually stock up her shop she was planning to rent after collecting her certificate .
I felt happy she is gradually determined to leave her bank job.

Then one fateful weekend, she didn't come to class . I said maybe she has traveled to meet her Alfa for more purification and protection .

Lo and behold on Monday morning , her colleagues in the bank called me around 10am in the morning .

Madam Vivi ,something bad has happened ! I was like what!

The first one said Aisha was burnt without recognition in her family house ! Fire from nowhere razed everything in the house while she was asleep late at night and she was the only one at home ,Her parents and siblings travelled home for ileya festival!

I was so shocked ! Fear griped me ! More calls came in from her friends . they all said the same thing .

I was so shocked , so weak .

I warned her several times, Aisha please leave the work for those once competing with u. Just leave and manage what UV saved.

But she didn't listen ,just two more months left,she had already planned her resignation letter . but enemies at work could not wait !

What a huge loss .sighs

May her soul rest in peace .

I remember when bikes used to operate in most part of Lagos. I always tell my colleague that I will never enter bike if there is any traffic jam.

So sad. Right from the first day of the incident, I've been feeling so terrible, especially seeing those graphic pictures of the lady on the floor.

The guy was typing out of deep pains. Most times, we don't know how it feels until we experience it. I remember how a brother was swearing and cursing Nigeria, when his elder brother dead at a federal teaching hospital during the heat of the pandemic/lockdown. According to him the brother was left unattended to for 3 hours, for the Covid-19 team to confirm his status, before admitting him. He died shortly after his status was confirmed negative, as he was being moved in for admission.

Please I have a question for those who know Lagos very well... She works at Apapa and lives at Ajah, thought these two locations are very far from each other? Someone help out

From Ajah to Apapa I can't comprehend that, the risk (taking boat from CMS/Marina to Apapa) distance and traffic if you decide to go by road.

You won't understand what he is saying about Cold stone and many hotels and restaurants who stress their workers... Their time is money ...u late for a minute, u pay ₦1000... The idea of always looking for the first Okada when running out of time...and the reason why she took bike on highway... May her Soul R.I.P

Dear young man sorry for the loss. It's always pathetic to lose someone so dear in such a tragic and gruesome manner, such memory hardly fade away till death,nevertheless take heart and keeping moving with your heavy heart and tears. Oh! death, you sting so hard sometimes, leaving many hope dashed, joy cut short and family ruined, but alas you shall be swallow up in victory.
As for your expressed vituperation toward her employers this isn't entirely their fault. The environment is moribund and not conducive for business operations, many businesses are on the verge of collapse, that's why they sometimes have to push everywhere and everyone around to stay afloat.
Moral counsel and Lesson:
From the write-up it's evident they are already living together as husband and wife in complete disregard to God's word, sound scriptural principles & teachings, this is a sad truth but must be said. We must always provide a conducive environment for the father of the Spirit to thrive in our lives. May be or may be not, but let us play our part well so we can be on the safer side. Don't undermine God's instructions on holiness when life begins to treat you nicely, for God's foolishness is wiser than men.

People grieve in different ways bro. You, of all people should be able to understand exactly how he feels. You can't talk about the passing of wife, but he's literally crying out on Facebook. No need losing sympathy for him. May God comfort you all. It's a pity.

Loveday Etomi, the fiancé of the woman who was crushed to death by a tanker in Ajah only weeks to her wedding, has spoken out following her death, Reports.

From The Information Reaching , Immaculate Emife Okochu reportedly died at the scene of the accident, her fiancé said. He then narrated how he was in traffic when he got the call that she was involved in an accident and how he parked his car and ran on foot to the scene to find her "cold".

Immaculate was a store manager at the Cold Stone Creamery Nigeria in Apapa. She was reportedly rushing to work when she took a bike to escape the Lagos traffic. Unfortunately, a truck rammed into the bike she was on, crushing her on Badore Road in Ajah around 11am on Wednesday, August 12, Reports.

Friends Who Spoke With , say she was first taken to a hospital in the area, and from there, she was referred to the General Hospital, Marina, where she was declared dead.

Mourning her, her fiance expressed his love for her and said no one could ever replace her.

Someone who's getting married in a few weeks time should be given some time off to prepare for his/her wedding, it's only normal....so if she was still going to work then it means they didn't give her that time off. If they had given her the time off, she won't be on her way to work and this wouldn't have happened...so yes, that's why he's blaming them

When is this time off for Wedding preparations happening weeks later supposed to start?
