I remember a man in Equitorial Trust Bank in Abak road uyo in those days.

He was always very gentle and full of respect to people.

He was being loved particulary by elderly women for her humility and respect.

The bank informed him that he was to accompany a bullion van containing money the next day.

On the morning of that day,he suddenly did not feel ok.

He was feeling something approaching a weakness of body.

He informed the bank but the bank insisted he must go with the van afterall it was just to sit in the van.

He obeyed.

On the way,armed robbers waylaid them.

He was the only one who was shot and killed.

That is how the bank lost one of it's most trusted and loved staff member.

Thank God I'm a boss of my own. I can't come and die ontop another man's buisness .

I use to be the caretaker of one of my father's family friends ,an advanced mother.
She loved me so much. She made me caretaker of her properties cos of the love she had for my late dad and my mom.

Immediately I became caretaker ,come and see bickering , eye service from married men in the various flats . They all felt belittled that she kept me in charge and gave me 4 bedroom flat to live in free ,as long as I over see her properties in Lagos .

When the spiritual attacks became too much for me to bear with unnecessary quarrels here and there to stress me up whenever I come around. With the lies some of the men will take to the landlady .
I calmly went to see her one fateful day ,she told me everything the men were saying against me
I just shook myhead and i told her Mummy I'm fedup taking care of your properties . I dont have peace of mind at home ,even though I live in ahuge house. My spirit is not at peace . please lemme go . I fear something bad will happen to me . I'm the only surviving child left of my late mom. Please just free me . I'm a younglady just starting life. Free me, I'm leaving

She persuaded me to stay and say nothing bad will happen to me, she will even take me to her prophet for fortification and protection . That I'm the only she trust with her money and properties . Her only son died through a car crash .

I said mama sorry . Get the services of a lawyer , he will assist u very with the tenants. They are all older than me and feel how can a young lady be their caretaker . I can't anymore

When she didn't want to listen ,still pleading . I said OK I've heard

Within 3months ,I moved on . got a smaller apartment far away from her .
Imtroduced a lawyer to her , hand over every documents with me to her ,dust myself and move on.

I can't come allow enemies waste my life ontop properties wey no be my own.

It's always pathetic to lose someone so dear in such a tragic and gruesome manner, such memory hardly fade away till death,nevertheless take heart and keeping moving with your heavy heart and tears. As for your expressed vituperation toward her employers this isn't entirely their fault. The environment is moribund and not conducive for business operations, many businesses are on the verge of collapse, that's why they sometimes have to push everywhere and everyone around to stay afloat.
Moral counsel and Lesson:
From the write-up it's evident they are already living together as husband and wife in complete disregard to God's word, sound scriptural principles & teachings, this is a sad truth but must be said. We must always provide a conducive environment for the father of the Spirit to thrive in our lives. May be or may be not, but let us play our part well so we can be on the safer side. Don't undermine God's instructions on holiness when life begins to treat you nicely, for God's foolishness is wiser than men.

Blame your country for allowing trucks ply the roads at peak periods of the day. The case of the FAAN staff is still there. Their parents didn't blame FAAN for their death. If Sanwo-Olu keeps shying away from saving the lives of citizens and keeps on focusing on revenue this is the result.

This ladys death could simply be averted if only there are measures in place. It's a sorry case for Nigeria. In Ibese, Dangote Truck drivers have killed many innocent souls. Infact I told my self, I wasn't going to ply that route until something is done. As I speak, these truck drivers get away with murder. Dangotes plant never cease operating and life has moved on despite putting people into life tormenting heartache. When will our madness end in this country. In the first year of my marriage, my wife was doing her masters program in Unilag. Each weekend she wakes up to prepare for her journey to lag, I would try to convince her not to go. She didn't understand my fear, what she saw was that I don't want her to earn a masters degree. But thank God for protecting her. Up until now, she's yet to complete her program because a professor has refused to let her go. I can't imagine doing a masters program for almost 4years now. Nigeria is just a sick country. I tell, if you sustain an injury at work in an advance country, the kind of claims you can make ehnnn. But in Nigeria, human life is worthless. No body is even talking about the truck driver if he has been arrested. I'm sure he left the scene of the accident back to his family. It is very sad. Lagos State needs to do something about their traffic laws on highways.
