If Efcc can be arresting bankers in connection with yahoo boys, am 100% sure yahoo stuffs will be substantially degraded .

Those working in banks know & aid majority of the fraudsters to swindle people hard earned money.

It would be clumsy. That's the responsibility of the Nigerian Financial intelligence unit. Banks can't police themselves. Some Nigerian banks aren't event saintly themselves(the few I have dealt with).

Even with the NFIU guidelines a lot still pulls through due to international payments systems. Western Union, Transfer wise etc, PayPal etc.

No pattern for tracking illicit transactions is failsafe. and truthfully more guidelines means more encumbrance for us legal transactions because every security measure adds a cost/inconvenience.

Let's try though. God help us.

I keep saying this...banks officials are responsible for all these fraudulent activities... someone sent money to my account to give to his friend after 30minutes there about... only for me to receive call from a guy that my account is having problem that I should sent my bvn for rectification.... imagine....how him take know say money enter my account?....

True. But certainly NOT ALL.
Banks have controls. And humans always seek new means to subvert controls. Fraud elimination is a never ending fight. Even the likes of Goldman Sachs, Well Fargo and HSBCs of the world are not immune from this.

Western union can easily traced unlike bitcoin, if for instance a young guy present a code number for Western Union pay, bearing foreign names, Bank's officials can call on Efcc or other agencies to interrogate such beneficiaries, if banks can adopt this tactics alone, many Yahoo guys will be dissuaded & eventually frustrated.

Even for the bitcoin, I think if technology can do in to do transactions cryptocurrencly" they are supposed to find solution on how to locate the senders and receivers easily.

By not find solution for internet frauds, it had let to negative multiple effect on youth and by extension to Nigeria economy.

You are right. I am not a Bitcoin expert, but from what I hear, the tech. Provides simplicity/speed for transactions. Simplicity/speed in finance reduces security from elwhat I know.

Can you imagine, in Lagos State south west out of about 8 criminals only is from south west.

That one Southerner sef was just an unfortunate Sheep that rolled with the Dogs, end up eating Feaces or just another "Developer" using a Yoruba name!

All these Developers of Lagos are Criminals, that is why they can boast of buying up Lagos, with Proceeds of Criminality

, was picked up in the gang’s hideout after a technical analysis of the details of the gang and its activities. His arrest facilitated the apprehension of six other members of the gang in different parts of the metropolis.

They are Osita Nwafor 45; Nwogu Joseph Chika, 36, Anthony Odama, 43, Ikechukwu Nkem, 32, James Okonkwo, 51, Adedio Paulinus, 29, and Ogundepo Olufemi, 51.

Nigeria is a peculiar case.
Bankers of TODAY are mostly Criminals, amjority pf them, unlike in the Past.
They are the ones conniving with Criminals to expose banking details of Customers to Fraudsters.

But what do we expect, when the Bank Executives cheat their staff and employ some of them as CONTRACT STAFF for more than Five years
shocked
How would such Bank Worker not think of stealing from the Bank, seeing how their Bosses are also stealing their sweat.
Nigeria is bleeped-up.

Amakapigs ! Criminality is well embedded in their DNA. They can't do without crimes of all sorts,it is the pivot upon which their criminal lives rotate.

You'll see them in their usual 2b2 shops forming hardworking Jews meanwhile, the real hustle that is paying the bills is criminality - robbery, kidnapping, ritual killings, drug, etc. This is why nobody wants them near or around for the fear of the crimes they are capable of committing.

Oju ole da,olee ! Omo nna,ole !

Stop your primitive tribalism and face the issues of criminality with us Yorubas, Nigerians and Africans.
