1. How's study in Belgium generally

2. Can I work while studying

3. If there's a language to be learnt; which should it be?

4. How is Visa processing like at the embassy and what should I watch out for...

Thanks.
1. Different from Naija, and also the mode of answering question is different too. For instance if you are asked list or enumerate, that’s all you need to do.. if it’s explain, go straight to the point, no all those Naija style.
There are lot of group works, and also prepare your mind to be calm, especially in group works, they are not English speakers, so using different words (synonyms) doesn’t really work well. So stick with very simple words and easy words..
Presentation is also common n important.
Exam is sometimes 100%, except for assignment or presentation that is mandatory. In all exam is 100% (20 marks overall).

2. Yes, you can, but don’t forget the reason for coming to Belgium, new law now from last year I think, pass 65% of your course.

3. Depends on your interest, there is dutch, French and German. If you live in Antwerp then Dutch is your closest....

4. Well, the rest of the group here, will answer that, it’s been a while, don’t want to give answers that are stale..

Thanks alot...
I really like the 100% exam practice...
And also I am sure they don't have many courses like we do in Nigeria universities;

Where 100l first semester will offer like 13 courses...
Re: Anyone Studying In Belgium? by GreatMage: 6:36pm On Aug 06, 2020
Overall...

I have gathered some facts...

1. Legalisation of documents in MOE, MOFA and Embassy all in Abuja!

2. You need to present proof of solvency and admission letter to the embassy...

3. You must have official copy of transcript and certificate before you go to the embassy...

Now my questions are;

1. What happens after step 1?

2. Do I book for appointment on embassy for interview?

3. After getting my proof of solvency and admission letter what's the next step?

Thanks once again and sorry for the inconveniences...

1. You proceed to visa application. But you need to feel your visa application form online and gather your documents.

2. No you don't book appointment to apply for visa. You only book for appointment when you want to legalise your sponsor's form.

3.You gather your documents, do your medicals, police clearance and legalise the ones that are to be legalised.

if the school refuse to stamp the photocopy of the original certificate and transcript, will the embassy accept certified true copy from high court?
Hi bro, while applying for the DAAD scholarship you got, was the transcript you submitted a student's copy or the one meant for international studies purpose?

I anticipate your prompt answer. Thanks

The one I used for my application was the official transcript (Notarized copy) and not the student copy. Some Universities accepts student copy while some dont. Hence I would advise you to mail your prospective University for better understanding of their requirements.

Oh Thanks.
Since you used the transcript twice (one for university, one for DAAD), I take it you didn't allow your school (in Nigeria ) to send the Official Transcript to the German school you applied to directly so as to allow you have a copy for yourself which you eventually used to apply to DAAD. ?

:: I'm sorry for asking all this on the Belgium Thread.

Yes. I collected my transcript from the school and I have been using it for all my applications.

Good evening everyone. Such sweet relief to find this group here. I have been admitted to a university in Belgium for Masters. Gradually gathering my documents but I have tried to search the embassy page for their recommended doctors to carry out the medical clearance test, I havent seen any. Please are there folks who have gone through this process? Please kindly assist me, as it is a race against time. Many Thanks.

its 700 euros per month now plus an additional 100 euros as bank rate. I just paid today. Make sure to ask for Form A when you get to the bank. Do not buy euro from Aboki to pay because that way you would have cheated yourself. With the form A, the bank will make your payment based on the central bank rate. That is about 4.2m in Naira equivalent and 9200 in euros.

Waec
Degree
transcript
Police clearance
Sponsor's form
These five are to be authenticated at ministry of foreigh affairs and legalise at the embassy too..
But for federal ministry of education, you are to authenticate your waec, degree and transcripts only.
Once you are done with the federal ministry of education, you can then proceed to federal ministry of foreign affairs and then legalise at the embassy.

thanks Victor. Presently I have just statement of result for my degree as the university says our certificates are not yet ready, even after three years of graduating. will that count at the embassy?

Yes you can or better still collect cover letter from your school or you mail embassy before applying

Which one is sponsor's form? If that is Annex 32 you are talking about, it is the sponsor who has to legalised that and not you. Be careful with the information that you give bcus this Annex 32 of thing is very complicated and is crucial as far as visa application is concern. In his case he is using block account and no need to legalize that.
